My first room on the 6th floor the air wasn’t working so they moved me to the 2nd floor.. I noticed the difference in rooms, next time I reserve the Sandman I would like to have the newer room.. other then that, I enjoyed myself as usual

Everything was smooth as silk... room was big, AC worked well, staff was very friendly. My only complaint would be that the room smelled like curry/shawarma the entire time. Not just a little bit, but like someone had just cooked for a family of 50 in our room minutes before we arrived. I like the smell, so it wasn't off-putting but I felt like we missed out on whatever feast was served minutes before we arrived.

The hotel is located downtown which suited us for convenience. However it was a sketchy area. (random people hanging around outside.) The carpet in the room felt damp. The bed linens were clean and the bed was comfortable. But the bed was made up 'short' - it was difficult to pull the covers up to shoulder. The hotel offered shampoo conditioner and shower gel in pump bottles. Sadly the pump on the shower gel was broken.

Upon driving up to your hotel, we saw a homeless encampment next to the hotel. I felt unsafe at this hotel. When we went to bed to sleep, our sheets were wet at the bottom so we had to get another set of sheets to cover the wet. The shower was awful! There was a leak in the shower head pouring water out of the shower onto the floor. Im not impressed with this hotel at this location. I did not enjoy my stay unfortunately 😔
