Disappointing Stay Despite Good Location We had a very unpleasant experience at The Chapter Leisure Inn. Upon check-in, we were given a first-floor room that was clearly not remodeled — everything felt dingy, stained, and dirty. It was in no condition for a family stay, and I refused to accept it. After initially being told that all rooms were booked and nothing else was available, the front desk eventually offered to show us another 4-person room on the third floor. While we appreciated the effort, the room was incredibly small — barely enough space for our luggage — and uncomfortably hot. The window wouldn’t stay open on its own and slammed shut loudly after a short while. We had to wedge a pillow under it just to reduce the noise and avoid being startled every time it closed on its own. Overall, it was a miserable and uncomfortable stay. On the positive side, the staff were polite, and the location was convenient. Unfortunately, the condition of the property left much to be desired. I would not recommend staying here unless the hotel undergoes major renovations and maintenance improvements.

Two night stay.

We arrived late at night aeound 10pm. The room was absolutely nothing like the pictures advertised. I also booked a triple room of 3 single beds and we got a double and a single. The bedroom was red hot and has fans on already to try and cool the room. The beds were comfortable, there was no iron, the shower was nice however they had not restocked the shower gel or hand-wash dispensers. They did supply a few little bottles of shampoo. They gave us clean towels and replenished tea/coffee supplies and clean cups. The room was very small but as we were only there to sleep it was fine. It is based near Kensington park and a 15 min walk from paddington station in another direction. Staff were friendly on reception. No breakfast as the kitchen isnt used despite their website saying breakfast was included.

I had a very disappointing experience at this property during my 4-night stay. On the first day, I discovered that a valuable personal item was missing from my room. When I reported it to management, I was informed that there was no way to verify how the item went missing and that nothing could be done. No goodwill gesture or support was offered despite the seriousness of the issue. Beyond that, the room itself was extremely small, uncomfortably hot, and not well-maintained. Throughout my stay, I witnessed multiple guests expressing frustration to staff about similar concern of dirty rooms, inconsistent housekeeping, and poor service overall. This was, without exaggeration, the worst hotel experience I’ve had. I would strongly urge others to consider alternative accommodations.

I WOULD ADVISE THOSE INTERESTED NOT TO STAY AT THIS HOTEL My daughters and I had at least two items (possibly more) stolen from our luggage while we were out for the day. AirPods and cash were taken from one oof out make-up masks inside a money carrier.

Nice and lovely views for the price and location

Lovely hotel. For the area we stayed a reasonable price and perfect for any Hyde park activities. However on both mornings housekeeping knocked 3 times despite being told no thank you and even walked in on me a couple of times when I was asleep. That was frustrating and I was indecent ☹️ the other thing to.note there is no ait conditioning but that's standard for smaller chains or hotels. They did however provide a few fans and did what they could to keep us somewhat cool. I would definitely stay again maybe just not in a heatwave and tell reception to leave our room alone whilst we were staying

We did have a little issue upon check in, the boy on reception said we had the balance to pay, even though we had already paid.. this was soon rectified when he messaged his boss.. but wasn’t needed after a long day travelling and proving payment had been received by showing him the emails. That was the only hiccup. Rest of the staff always welcoming and telling us to have a lovely day. The room was small for 3 of us and a little dated.. however it was clean and had everything we needed. The bed and pillows were very comfy. It was perfect for our needs… and the location of the hotel is brilliant. Will definitely be back to this hotel when I next visit London. Amazing price and great location.

Property was basic and the basement rooms smelled of damp. Two weird and large skylights above beds with no curtains so bright in the summer. For London, this is acceptable and tolerated but outside of London it would not be worth the money.

Room needs thorough cleaning including ceiling hatch. The fan is very dusty and also the counters. No chairs in the room and bedside tables. Bathroom is mouldy.

The property had a nice location. It did not have Air conditioning, no ice machine. I was billed for a three person room, but is was clearly a two person room. The room was very small. It was so hot there that we had to move to a different hotel after the first night. So far I haven't seen any refund from my 3 day paid reservation. Thus place is definitely falsely advertised.
