This was an interesting property to say the least. I didn’t like the fact that because it was underground, I had no cell service. But, I especially didn’t like the lack of amenities and space in the rooms. The air conditioning did not work, and upon my arrival, the people who greeted me weren’t the friendliest. Overall the room served its purpose, but the stay was not enjoyable

Just a bed, toilet, sink and shower.

The reception is 4 levels down, the chap lacked personality and warmth. The room was 5 floors down. You could hear quite a lot of strange noises I can only put down to plumbing? The room was a bed (not uncomfortable but very low), and a bathroom. It felt a little like a clean new prison cell with obviously no window being 5 floors underground.

Good location but constant rumbling from nearby underground lines. This is a very basic hotel, with no more than a bed in the room. I expected at least a chair, a bin, or a table - but there was nothing except a bed and some earplugs (thankfully). At nearly £200 per night this is very poor value for money. It was fine for a last-minute 1 night booking, but I wouldn't want to stay much longer. Being four storeys underground didn't feel safe and the rumbling/vibrating from the underground was incredibly annoying. Comfortable bed and good shower, though.

Didn’t like the room - it’s so tiny, no space to put anything, dingy and claustrophobic. Only one elevator for the whole hotel, and staff weren’t helpful about keeping the room clean. Would not recommend staying here. Great location but not nice inside.

Good location, but extremely basic room

Great location, close to Tottenham Court Road underground station. The room was extremely basic. There was only a bed and there was no desk, chair, wardrobe or bedside table. There were no tea or coffee making facilities in the room and there wasn't a hair dryer in the room. I expected much more from a hotel in central London. You could hear the underground, but that didn't cause any problems during the night. As the name suggests, this is an underground hotel, so there are no windows.

Upon arrival, (before our check in time) it wasn't pleasant. The lady behind reception was quite blunt with us and didn’t seem very enthusiastic in her job. We had to pay £15 charge for them to hold our suitcase until check in time. Our room had dust and flies in it. The bathroom was not very private… big gap when sliding door shut, can see my family while sat on toilet. When getting undressed…body figure is visible through glass. When flushing the toilet, the noise is so loud, I refrained from flushing during night, I didn’t want to wake my family up! We had the sound of the tubes running over us throughout the night..not a very good sleep at all. We were provided with just one pillow each. The thermostat in our room wasn’t working so my daughters were cold. The checkout time is 10am… we got back to our room at 10.02am and we were locked out of it. They didn’t tell us that we would be locked out of our room if we were a few minutes late checking out. This was our first time at Zedwell Underground hotel and sadly it will be our last, we will not be returning.

No free tea or coffee available in the reception area, and when brought to the attention of the member of staff at reception - they just couldn't care less. Also, the A/C in the room was terrible so it ended up being far too hot.

The Zedwell was an extremely comfortable stay, location was incredible. It is interesting being underground and hearing the tube running above you. Can feel a little bit claustrophobic at times but overall would return!

Check in was fine, our room was basic but that’s what we expected however the AC barely worked, we only had one pillow each and the bed was hard. It’s good if you want a place to sleep and that’s it, but bring a pillow! There isn’t anything in the room about how to get more pillows or anything, overall very basic.

Never been to the prison but I had that experience and the other experience my partner and I had he opened the front door midnight he was confused he thought he’s going to the toilet, but he was on the hallway door gone locked behind him he was naked on the hallway until Security came and let him in to our cell 😁 never laugh like that in my life

Unique underground hotel that's priced reasonably. Great location. The room was very clean and relatively quiet, you do hear tube noises but it's acceptable. There were flies that came out of nowhere, we suspect they came into the room via the vents. Staff are friendly, we would reuse again for sure.
