Nauti viehättävästä kodistamme, jossa on 100 metriä hiljaista Basford Lake -julkisivua ja pääsy kaikkiin urheilulajeihin Big Star Lake 100 metrin päässä.

Talomme tarjoaa kauniit näkymät Basford-järvelle, suurelle erilliselle kannelle, hiekkarannalle ja meloa veneelle omaan käyttöösi.

Meillä on poikkeuksellisen suuri erä pysäköintialueilla useille autoille ja veneille.

Olemme sijaitsee 2 mailin päässä julkisesta golfkentästä ja ravintolasta, 3 mailin päässä North Country -vaellusreitistä, 5 mailin päässä luonnonkauniista Pere-Marquette -joesta, kanootilla, kajakkilla, putkivuokrauksella.

Get what you pay for I guess

Beautiful scenery, love the lake, love the fact that it’s like the last cabin on the left. The cleaning lady/caretaker didn’t do a very good job prior to our stay. There was mouse poop in the bathtub along with dead spiders. There was a dead bird in the wood stove, which may still be there because I sure wasn’t removing it. I also didn’t like that there wasn’t as much privacy as I thought there would be. I did like the communication with the owner though, she seemed very nice. We did fireworks over the lake until a few neighbors started to complain and threatened to call police even though we had permission to do fireworks and by state law/regulations we had until 11:45 Saturday and Sunday of Memorial Day weekend to do fireworks. We even had some very mean lady trespass onto the owners property and threatened us with calling the police. The fact that she trespassed, we should have called the police on her. Furthermore, we did clean up after ourselves and may have leftist it in better condition then when we came because the outdoors was not very tidy either. I even raked off the patio outside and raked the beach. However other then there is a ton of people in the surrounding area and the other statements previously mentioned. We really enjoyed our stay. I would also like to say thank you to the owner for being so kind!

Weekend Get Away

House was well kept and cool. Beach, porch, and dock could use some repair cleanup. Accidentally locked us out of the house but had someone there 10 minutes to let us back in. Overall good stay.

We had a great time. The only thing I would have changed is being able to open the windows, and the leaves in the lake. I was looking for a rake, but couldn't find 1 there. The water would be nice if there wasn't so many leaves and stuff there.

Negatives- beds aren’t so comfortable, upstairs toilet struggles to flush, had to turn on the hot water heater and the place could use a deep clean. Positives- great location, great air conditioning, nice cabin feeling and the deck outside was great to hangout on. Overall I’d stay again and would recommend to anyone.

The best time!

I was skeptical about the stay with mixed reviews but I’m glad we took a gamble to go. We had the best family vacation. We took our own kayaks and paddle boards to use, floats, camping chairs, sheets, towels and blankets - which was fine by us. The dock provided an area for kids to fish and watch fireworks. The beach area upon arrival was a little mucky, but the kids playing and splashing around helped clear it up a bit! The middle of the lake swimming was perfect for the whole crew to link up and just play. The basics are there, but if you think you’ll need it, bring it! One thing that was a little weird is the no cell service - at first my teen kids were bummed, but they quickly remembered how to play, and we played board games and watched DVDs that we brought from home. We ventured to Ludington one day, it was not a very long hike - just take directions with you ahead of time due to the limited service or use a map! Overall was a great time, beds were comfy, kids had fun and us adults lived for those precious moments of laughter. 🙂 We hope to come back next year!

Didn’t notice that linens were not provided. We dealt with that. No dish towels, no wastebaskets in some bedrooms, owner in willing to help with problems…. Property was on a pretty lake.

1. Property have nice view. 2. property needed lots updates or fix seem like owner neglect the place. 3. not very clean. 4. shower and tubs needed updated stain and dirty looking. 5. hold place needed deep cleaning bad. 6.no toilet paper. 7. plants growing out of rain gutters. 8. outlets when plug in don't stay. 9. kitchen sink, microwave, coffee was not clean we pay for clean place. not clean it our-self. 10. bed was not comfortable to sleep in. 11. no internet everybody complain, and not cell service.

Good stay

My husband and I and our six kids had a good stay at the property. The beach could use some new sand added and weeds removed but 5-7 year olds don’t care too much about that. The lake is non-sporting so it’s nice and quiet. We saw geese and ducks and a loon during the week. The house itself is furnished with rather dated furniture but not too bad. It was cleaner than some reviews led us to believe so that was good. Some dust and dirt but negligible. One piece of advice-if you think you’ll need it for the week, pack it in. They had cleaning supplies and hand soap and a good selection of laundry soaps. We did not find any dish towels or dish soap. And the description does say you’ll need sheets and towels and that is still the case. Overall I’ve stayed in better places for less money, but the peace and quiet was worth the trip!

It was okay

I was traveling with my aunts and uncle, the size of the place was nice. Upon entering the house it had a musty smell, we just opened the window and sprayed everything down. The check list tells you what to do but me being a woman I had no idea how to turn the water on. The list should give more details. The list should also have the wifi information on it. I slept in the room with bunkbeds and those beds need to be updated bad I could feel the Wood planks. Not a good sleep. Only one full size bed had a mattress topper. The water would get hot in the sink but not in the shower upstairs. We didn’t turn the shower on downstairs because it neededs to be updated and didn’t look clean. Over all we had a good time the view is nice.

Cottage definitely needs a deep clean, even the outlets need updating, everything you plug in just falls out. You will need to bring black and also white trash bags, along with toilet paper, which is not included in the instructions.

Great location!

Lake is very quiet and the location is awesome!! The house is set up nicely and plenty of parking area! The only thing was the cleanliness of the house. It really needs a good deep clean. The beach area could also use a rake.

Peaceful, relaxing week

This cottage with ample room for ourselves and 4 teenagers provided a quiet a restful retreat for the week! The kids enjoyed the great fishing for bass and pike!

Enjoyed lakehouse for the weekend

Our family had a great time this weekend at the lakehouse. It is a nice sized house 3 bed/2 bath with a good view of the lake from the back deck where we enjoyed eating family meals and could really spread out and enjoy everything it had to offer. Positives: Sandy private peaceful beach and nice pedal boat our family enjoyed using! Enjoying the beautiful weather being out in the water and dock was favorite part of the stay. The house was a great temp and has central A/C as the weather got pretty warm this past weekend. Negatives: The house was a little hard to find due to no signage near road. Also, the house could use a deep clean however there were no bed bugs as we had read a previous reviewer suggest. Also, "Interesting" choice of some of the home decor. Overall, had a nice time, would recommend.

Family Vacation

My husband and I brought our sons and 3 grandchildren. We great family vacation, enjoyed the swimming in the lake and using the paddle boat. The only bad thing was after driving 5 hours and went to use gas grill and there was no propane to cook dinner.

Great getaway

This was a great small lake to stay at. There was plenty to do such as swimming, hiking, walking, eating ice cream from at least 4 different shops, fishing. The place was cozy and clean. The host was helpful.

lovely venue, but house needs some attention

We thought the place was beautiful, and we enjoyed our stay. However, it seems not as well-tended-to as other places we've stayed The coffee maker was (very) dirty; there were rust stains and chipped plastic/enamel in the showers and toilets, for example. Most important, though, is that the bunk beds are unsafe. Our 8-year-old got his head stuck between the railing and the mattress in a way that could have choked him to death. We have bunk beds at home, and the kids have slept on bunk beds elsewhere; this is an unusual problem and should be dealt with.

Family trip

Me, my kids, and grandkids went for a long needed family trip. It was nice to have everyone together to cook dinner, and spend quality time together. Yes it might be a little out dated, but it was fine and very relaxing. It was nice having the paddle boat for us to use out their. My grandkids really enjoyed that. The people up their was very friendly

Well equipped house by the lake

Place was nice, a bit hard to find as it didn't have the number in reflective green like the others around it. House is cozy and many appliances are new. They really should put up Wifi as there is no cellular range for TMobile or ATT. There's a pedal boat which we enjoyed. The deck area didn't have a light, but did have power outlets so you can bring your own. Grill is in good condition. Overall a very nice stay.

Great Summer Getaway!

Other than the grill not igniting and empty, everything was as described. As clean as you would picture a lakehouse. Great private swimming and fishing lake. Would book again.
