We enjoyed staying at this beautiful hotel in the heart of old Granada very much. The staff are skillful and attentive in all aspects. The breakfasts were lovely. The room and facilities were very generous. The swimming pool was beautifully managed and a great boon for guests. It is very conveniently located at the centre of the city. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the street. On the other side of the street is the Palace of Culture, a busy part of the civic life of Granada, noisy on occasion. It would not put us off coming back to Hotel Plaza Colon but if you are looking for complete peace and quiet at all times maybe you should be aware. That is not a criticism of this hotel because they are where they are in the very centre of town.

Really well run historic hotel on the central plaza of Granada.The staff were wonderful, helpful, and seemed genially concerned that you were having a pleasant stay . Great breakfast, buffet style with local and north American/ European options. Lovely pool, free clean water. Hot water and A/C in the rooms was great. Free secure parking. Great option in this fantastic colonial city!

Believe What You See

Sublimely beautiful. Peaceful. Pleasant with the most attentive staff. Don't the picture fool you. It's even better than the picture. This hotel is a work of art. Using natural light with the imposing structure gives the visitor a sense of harmony with the rest of his surroundings. Hotel Colon is worth repeating again and again.

The location is ideal. The hotel is well run with friendly competent staff. The breakfast was good with eggs/omelettes made to order from a friendly chef. The room was very clean with comfortable beds and a large TV with Netflix.

Beautiful, walkable, comfy, and lovely staff!

Incredibly welcoming staff, took great care of us. Room was large and comfy, very clean. Excellent breakfast and lovely pool. Super walkable to all the sights and restaurants. Very safe. Could hear some music in the evenings, so maybe bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper. We would definitely stay again!
