Overall, the experience was a good one. The staff minus the agents at check-in were top notch. Food was excellent. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The beach was great! Kudos to Otis and Bob at the beach bar!!! The staff at check-in needs to be more aware of how they treat the clientele especially local residents.

The best part of this resort was the lids club! The staff was amazing. Food wasnt good, they would run out of jerk chicken and burgers. restaurant staff was rude and lazy. We checked out early and went to another resort! Also they are under construction so the lids swing set isnt there anymore.

It would have been fair to let us know that the hotel was currently under construction and that the adult pool and gameroom were not available before we booked. The pool table in the area near the gym had a giant tear. There were large boxes and debris in the corner of the tennis courts. I got a rather severe sunburn the first day. The next morning my husband wanted me to stay in bed and went to get me something to eat. He was stopped while trying to leave the buffet, and when he asked about room service he was told that was only for "privileged" members. He had to leave the small plate he had already made for me. There also seemed to be a mosquito infestation, something we had never before experienced at a resort. We were continually bitten no matter where we went, including at the buffet and open air restaurant. I had to stay in our room at night to avoid the mosquitoes, but eventually we were bitten in our room too. We bought benadryl cream in the on-site store. We were charged $33.00 for a small tube. The entertainment, heard from our room, was either not very good or the fault was the entertainment system, which usually sounded fuzzy and unclear. The room was lovely, but the t.v. reception was poor and the jacuzzi stopper was broken. There were no instructions on how to turn the jacuzzi on. There was a leak in the bathroom and slight openings in the closed outside doors, thereby allowing in the mosquitoes. The food was just not very good.

I am very disappointed with my stay. The hotel is not worth the amount charged, as the room was dirty and the bathroom in room 1239 was in terrible condition. I showed this issue to the front desk at check-out, but the staff member did not apologize and only told me to speak to security. This response was unprofessional and unacceptable.

I did not like the way they treat my Mom as a guess and she was the one that introduce us to this all inclusive hotel me and my wife did not like it. We were ready to leave immediately. when we were dining some of the waitress, they did not want to assist us because there was the one not operating that section they give my wife attitude the bar and the food was great. I just didn’t like the way they treat my Mom as my guess.

Staff were rude, very few were friendly. Many cats on the property that aren’t cared for. This was absolutely heartbreaking to see. Something needs to be done about that. They need to be spayed and neutered or the property needs to feed them. Pool was only open 9-6p. Would not stay here again.

I was pleasantly surprised with my experience of Catalonia. We planned to stay for 2 days and ended up extending for a week. All our needs were met! Clean comfortable bed, good food choice for everyone and most of all I loved the gym facilities. I couldn’t fault them at all. The experience definitely met my requirements. There is reconstructions going on at the moment, which can only be a plus as they are improving the hotel. I will definitely be staying there again! Oh, I forgot to mention how reasonable the price was! Fingers crossed the price doesn't go up too much!🙏

The highs: Courteous staff from the check in to the restaurants and throughout. I commend the staff for being polite and helpful. The semi formal restaurant I went to for one night was great! The oks: The room was outdated but clean, so not too fussy about that. Entertainment nights were ok. Better than nothing. There could be more pools with various heights. Its just one pool that goes in a cirlce thats the same level. The lows: The buffet food was a BIG hit and miss. Miss was usually at breakfast. Some of the food were not cooked thoroughly enough and was very hard to chew. The chefs should do better. The fruit drinks tasted diluted. I preferred drinking water. The place is filled with cats. I dont mind them on the general property, but its a turn off seeing them come through the eating area. The eating area is not in an enclosed space so its easy for them to come in and also for flies to come in as well. Management should really do something about that. Also the beach and pool area have alot of chairs but few umbrellas. If you want an umbrella, you have to go down early to grab one because those get taken first. Overall, the experience was just OK.
