Casa Franceschi is named after Ilario Franceschi, Major of Montepulciano in the 1850's, who used Sant' Antonio Country Resort as his week end home and retrieve.

Situated close to the private entrance of Casa Franceschi is an 18th century pergola, handmade in wrought iron, surrounded by hedges, rose bushes and furnished with a table for 4 where you can enjoy morning coffee or dine al fresco under the Tuscan stars.
Casa Franceschi is named after Ilario Franceschi, Major of Montepulciano in the 1850's, who used Sant' Antonio as his weekend home and country retreat.
This unique and noble 2 bedroom apartment is situated one flight of stairs up from its large oak double door private entrance above the ex stables.
Casa Franceschi is uniquely furnished with the original furniture used by the major in the 1850's. The terracotta floor tiles were initially laid in the 14th century and the wooden doors full of charm, character and history date back to 1650's.
The walls of the living room painted with colourful frescoes done by order of Ilario Franceschi illustrates our surrounding country side and lakes.
This marvelous living room, furnished with comfortable large sofas and coffee tables, gets ample natural light from the large window with stunning views of the country side. The only modern feature in the living room is the presence of satellite television and WIFI.
The large kitchen, with a table for 4, is a traditional Tuscan style kitchen made from oak wood with all the necessities required to prepare a delicious meal whilst enjoying the views. The main focal point of this room is the original open fireplace used for cooking in the previous centuries, now listed by the Beautiful Arts Council.
The master bedroom is completely furnished with 18th century rosewood and oak furniture and one double orthopedic mattress set in the original heavy brass bed frame. The splendid views from the master bedroom are of the famous rolling hills, olive groves and farms.
The second bedroom has late eighteenth century furniture similar to the master bedroom with one double bed consisting of an orthopedic mattress.
The bathroom consists of a double sink, toilet, bidet and shower. For the comfort of all our guests, all personal bed and shower linen is made from the highest quality cotton and Italian fabrics.

The apartments have been restored in one of the most ancient monasteries in Montepulciano, Siena, and they are the ideal home for relaxing weekends or holidays, amongst the famous green rolling Tuscan hills, close to Pienza, Montalcino and Siena.

The apartments are all completely unique and different one from the other regarding dimension, style and set up. The accomodations have been designed with maximum attention to details with all the comforts required to spend an unforgettable memorable holiday amongst the green Tuscan hills.

The rates are in Euros and do not include central heating. This is to be paid separately on a consumption basis.

All the apartments of Sant’ Antonio are self catering and are fully furnished with linen, towels etc and all kitchen utensils.
Linen is changed twice a week, on your arrival and mid week.
