The only thing I didn’t like that caught me by surprise was the 100 dollar deposit that’s not all going to be refunded back because it’s 25 dollars a day for parking

Breakfast area was pretty, they never pick the trash. When i was registered in the hotel, i paid for oceanfront and they gave me ocean view. When i told the lady i paid for oceanfront, she said cause i bought for expedia, that doesnt mean i choose oceanfront. She said is not good to do hotel by third party. I told her i always do it thru expedia and never had problem. So they rude people, is sad. The pool never was cleaned y the morning, had sand in it. Not recomended.

The hotel was nice and very clean. I had called on the arrival date and let them know I wouldn't be checking in until 4am. When we arrived, there were prostitutes near the entrance to the parking garage. Michelle checked us in, used my driver's license as ID, it took longer than expected and she never mentioned any issues. She charged us for parking (expected), and we went to our room. A few hours later, we had a very nice included breakfast, returned to the room and then went to the beach. When we returned to the room, we were locked out. I spoke with Ian at the desk and he stated that no one was checked into our room and he had no record of our reservation. Once I stated the reservation was made through Expedia, there was a change in attitude. It became no longer their responsibility. He eventually found that we had been checked in under another name in a different room. He fixed our key cards, demanded I return with my driver's license for their records. No apology of any kind, said or implied. When we checked out the following day, I explained to the person at the desk what happened, and again when Expedia entered the conversation, all responsibilities of the hotel went out the door. An off handed apology was given. I witnessed six drug deals from our balcony and the dealers were there all day.

The property was older but the staff was nice and attentive. The food at the Reel restaurant was delicious! Drinks were great and so was the DJ!. We had an issue with getting our room cleaned and the temperature control in the room was difficult to maintain cool. The view was wonderful. I was anticipating a sitting area in the room but the room did not have a sitting area. In a pinch I would go back for the atmosphere but hotel rooms in the South Tower need to be updated.
