«Casa de Coco» vacation home review

Generally speaking, the location is great and close to beaches and shopping. North Naples is a great place to stay. This was our first time rent of the «Casa de Coco». The photos on the website look very inviting. From our point of view, the price-performance ratio was not satisfactory. We chose this house mainly for its location and the hot tub. However, the hot tub could only be used during the last three days of our twelve-day stay due to a broken spa heater. The pool looked a bit cloudy upon our arrival. The owner assured us that someone would come to clean it, but that the water was fine and had already been treated, so we could use it. One of the showers couldn’t be used for two days as only cold water came out. The plumber spent a couple of hours trying to fix it. He made a great effort, but afterward, it was not possible to control the water heat, only hot water came out. The plumber had to come again and fix it. The pool deck was not really clean, walking barefoot around the pool left our feet with a greyish tint. When sitting on the veranda, the noise oft he nearby US 41 was a little disturbing. All in all, the cleanliness oft he house left something to be desired.

Home away from home

My family and I stayed at this home the last week in January 2024. The home was well kept with newer appliances and enough space for the 6 of us for a week. We have 4 children ages 7-15. There was something for everyone in this home, so much so that we spent a lot of time there just making memories together! The heated pool and hot tub we a favorite! The ping pong table was a family favorite for the evenings. I was able to do laundry there and we were able to have family sit down meals frequently. We were minutes away from a Publix grocery store and Walmart (and McDonalds). This was very convenient! U turns are legal (and expected) on the nearby highway which is a change from Wisconsin driving so that was different for us in getting around. There is a quint souvenir shop at the end of the road owned by the nicest man that I highly recommend visiting! We got a lot of nice Naples memorabilia there. The neighborhood is quiet and the house is on a street that overlooks a canal and has a pier. Hurricane Ian was the topic of a lot of locals there yet and we heard many stories of damage and rebuiliding. The neighbors always waved when we went by. We spent our days visiting beaches. We were up early shelling. The house is close to numerous beaches. We visited 4 different beaches while we were there. Wiggins was the family favorite and was 10 min away. The owners were easy to communicate with and we were able to check in early without issue. Highly recommend this home!!

Amazing Property

We have stayed at a lot of VRBOs in Florida and this was the nicest house we've stayed in. The house is very well taken care of. It was very clean when we arrived and the check-in process was very easy. Gina was very communicative and helpful with our questions. The kitchen was well stocked and there were basic supplies(toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap) there to get us started. The outdoor area was what makes this house so great. The upper deck has comfortable seating as well a very nice dining area. Downstairs, the pool is huge. There is an abundance of comfortable seating as well as a large dining area. We loved the ping pong table and Baggo. There were kayaks but we didn't use them. My son and husband loved fishing from the dock. The entire back area is screened in which kept it very clean and free of bugs. We spent most of our time out there! I highly recommend this home.

Short Family getaway

Communication with the owner was great. We had asked if we could check in a little earlier, just to drop off some of our stuff. She said it was not a problem. Location of the house was great, North end of Naples. We walked in and the house was a bit dirty. But then we saw the cleaner arrive and said they were late that day due to an emergency. We quickly unloaded a few things and got out of their way. We came back at check in time and they were still cleaning. We did our best to stay out of their way so they could finish. When they left, things were still in the dryer and washing machine. I told the owner so she knows that I would fold everything but will leave it there so they can put the rest of the stuff away after we left. The owner was great and said we could check out later, which ended working out since our kids like to sleep in. Kids loved the pool, hot tub, and ping pong table. We had some great family time. Thank you again.

Happy Honeymoon

We stayed for a week in June for our honeymoon and were very happy with this property! Gina was very easy to communicate with and check in was a breeze. The house was nicely decorated and had all the basic needs and then some! The kitchen was nicely stocked with spices and dish ware. The only suggestion I would give here would be maybe 1 or 2 smaller skillets to cook with. We did a full breakfast a couple of days and the skillets were quite large and hard to get them all on the burners at the same time. Not a huge deal though. The pool and patio area were an absolute oasis! We spent a lot of time in this area, especially in the evening. The pool was well kept, there is ample sitting areas, and the ping pong table was a nice addition on a rainy afternoon. Gina provides a nice variety of beach and fishing supplies. The one thing that surprised us was the traffic on 41, especially during the work week. Of course, this has no negatives on this property, just a heads up. It was our first time in Naples and we were surprised by the U turns and the amount of traffic. This bothered us more when we just quickly wanted to run to the store to grab a few items. If we were headed to the beach or other sight seeing places it wasn't bad to get on and go with the flow of traffic. Overall, getting around the area was quite easy! I cannot recommend this property highly enough!!! You won't be disappointed! Thank you so much Gina sharing your lovely house and pool with us!

Great spot for a girl's weekend

We very much enjoyed staying at this great space. We used the ping pong table and the kayaks, the pool and the hot-tub. It was centrally located. All clean and in good working order.

First time renting in North Naples

Overall I would rate this a 3.5 stars out of 5. The good: Location is great, close to beaches, kayaking, shopping. The street is quiet and seemed very safe. Good communication as far as attentive from owner, The not so good: The place was not as updated as we had hoped. The furniture (couches/coffee tables, end tables), blinds in the bedrooms (not functional), patio furniture ect all could use an updating. The owner is kind but there there needs to be more concern about the function of the use of the rental for the guests. The water pressure was so low in the master that we had to use the guest bathroom to brush our teeth, ect. The lights are very dim in the master and main sitting room. The wifi is very slow and unreliable. A few honest things to mention. Also a big minus was after the hurricane the property landscape was damaged. We were concerned if this would be sodded when we went down for the entire month and had asked prior. We were told the back would indeed have sod. Only after we drove down from Michigan and had already paid, we saw there was no sod and were not told prior. So in the backyard for the month we had sandy ground only. We think we should of been told this before arriving. On the other items we did tell the owner some of this and she seemed receptive. As far if changes will be made, unsure. Overall North Naples is a great place and this location was very good so it is up to the guest as far as expectations, this is my honest review!

Family wedding in Naples

Thanks to Gina for making our stay so terrific. We had our children and spouses together for a family wedding. The house was perfect for hanging out and sharing time together. Comfortable and easy are the best two words to describe it. Two thumbs up.

Great family time

Wonderful Amenities

The house provided a good range of amenities to be used for our stay which was great and appreciated. The house and set up was beautiful as well as comfortable. The pool was too cold for us to use and we found out on arrival that we had to pay to use the hot tub per day (for electricity) so we did not end up using it - but had a nice time relaxing on the porch and fishing from the dock. The owner was very helpful and reached out to see if there was anything we needed during our stay. Would love to rent again in the future - it was a perfect size for the 3 of us.

Close to downtown Naples

We would stay there again. It was nice having a pool and hot tub. It was great having the entire porch area screened in.

Great stay in North Naples

This house is wonderful. It is on a quiet street with a very private yard but still close to all the conveniences- beach, grocery stores and restaurants. The home was spotless upon arrival. Gina and her husband were easy to communicate with and helped us with whatever we needed. We enjoyed many meals in the lanai and had fun swimming in the pool. There is an adorable gift shop at the end of the street that we could walk to and buy our souvenirs. Thanks for a great week.

Lovely beach home, great for family

We stayed at Casa de Coco for our family's Christmas getaway. It was perfect for our needs. While we ended up not using the pool or hot tub, having the option was nice. There were a couple of intense ping pong matches though. Point is, plenty to do to keep folks entertained. It's nicely located, not too far from Barefoot Beach and Delnor-Wiggins. The house was clean, beds were comfy, and the kitchen had pretty much everything we needed. Gina was also very responsive to our questions. I definitely recommend Casa de Coco.

Great vacation location

We loved this place. Close to the beaches Great fishing with family in Charlotte Harbor. A great variety of Restaurants nearby, Publix grocery is around the corner Deleanor Wiggins Pass State Park beaches with restrooms, showers and changing facilities is about five minutes drive away. The beaches in DWP are beautiful. The swimming pool and Horus located by the downstairs living area is so nice many days we stayed home and lived there! We will definitely book this place again!!!

Outdoor Paradise

Great property! The outdoor area exceeded our expectations. Having both a canal to Kayak in and a swimming pool to enjoy made the property truly unique. Our family had a wonderful time. We were outside for hours protected from mosquitoes. We definitely felt away from it all, yet the location was very convenient. The beds were very comfortable, we wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.
