Relaxing get away.

My husband and I were celebrating our 10th anniversary and really enjoyed our relaxing get away. The location was perfect. The price was just right. The size was great. The bed was extremely comfortable which is something you don’t always get. The only issue we had was the AC didn’t keep the condo very cool, even on 74. The bedroom was pretty warm. The pool closing at 8:30pm seemed a bit early. Other than that our stay was great.

Well, the location is good...

Good news, kids! Mammaw and Pappaw got 'em a condo on the beach in Florida and they're going to let you rent it out. But keep your mitts off their stuff. And there is a lot of stuff. Especially that non-working small refrigerator on the table in the dining room. On the upside there are many signs with catchy witticisms like "Life's a Beach!" and "Life is Beach!" and "Ocean Makes Me Salty!" So those are entertaining and good for some belly laughs. The bed is comfortable and the location is superb - makes a great home base for adventures in the immediate area like Canaveral National Seashore and historic NSB. There is a DG Market a block up A1A which is pretty convenient to have. Be warned that checkout time is 10am so the checkout creep continues to work its way to the day they kick us out at sunup. Noon used to be the standard and now they've got us halfway to 0800 - so I can't stay here again because of that. I need that extra hour between 1000 and 1100 to run the dishwasher, take out the trash, gather the laundry and all of the other things that housekeeping at hotels do for no extra charge but they don't do at VRBOs for hundreds in extra charges. "Cleaning fee" they call it - which is apparently a fee you pay to do some cleaning.

The location of this property is on the no drive section of the beach and within close proximity to Flagler Avenue, restaurants, and grocery stores. We would stay at The Colony again but probably not in this unit.

The place was cozy and we liked it. Bed is super comfortable! There was no washer and dryer like it said. The AC ran the whole time no matter what temp. The toilet paper was almost gone and no paper towels and no trash bags. The towel hung up wasn’t washed and there was hairs on it.
