We stayed at this hotel for four nights based on its proximity (about a 10 minute walk) to NYU medical center.
The good: The check-in staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean, no real complaints. Other than a block over where there were lots of people hanging out on the sidewalk at all hours, the neighborhood was fine. Plenty of good restaurants nearby.
The not-so-good: The building smelled throughout of perfumed rug cleaner or some other deodorant product (even the lobby). The building has a small footprint, so each floor only contains about 6-8 rooms. So, each room is very close to the elevator. Also, sound traveled into our room from the air vent such that, at all hours day and night, we could easily hear shouting from rowdy quests on other floors.
Conclusion: We spent about $400/night for a hotel that served our basic needs but was not a wow. Merely adequate.
