NY surprise

Very large room with city view. Bed so comfy. Clean and quiet. Concierge very helpful locating a restaurant. So close to Penn Station. Easy walk.

The property is a little outdated but was clean, staff very helpful and efficient. Kept our luggage as we were early which freed us up to do some sightseeing. Coffee available most of the day in the bar/dining area. Great continental breakfast, only downside is it needs to be varied every other day. Would have liked a croissant option on some days instead of the repetitive items every day. Breakfast staff very efficient. Overall a great stay and location, would use this hotel again.

Clean and comfortable. Our room was very quiet. Breakfast was fine, however, offerings of mashed potatoes and salad are unusual. Breakfast room gets very crowded. Good location close to subway. Welcoming staff. Would gladly stay there again.

Another Great Stay in the Books!

Excellent stay as always. The hotel is clean and esthetically pleasing. The staff is friendly and goes above and beyond to ensure your stay is a plesant one. The free breakfast is really nice, so you can start your day off right. The cocktail hours are nice as well and the bartender is very friendly and knowledgeable about all the items you may wish to partake in. The environment is cozy to boot. I love this hotel and plan to frequent it on future stays and recommend it to friends and family.

Korea Town location is hoppin' until the wee hours with so many people in the street, and if that's your thing, then Hotel Sanford would be good for you. Super convenient to the subway and many restaurants. It was just too loud to sleep well. If we stay again, we will ask for a room in the back of the building. The staff was wonderful, let us check in a little early on a rainy day without charging us. Breakfast was limited but appreciated for the convenience. Hot dogs, mashed potatoes, white flour bagels, yogurt, apples, bananas, individually wrapped cheese slices, Keurig coffee were the items offered that I can remember. Our room had comfortable beds, plenty of space in a suite with couch, chair and coffee table. Good office chair for the desk, and nicely sized closet in the bedroom. We enjoyed a big bathroom with grab bars and an ADA compliant toilet. Lots of hot water and decent water pressure at night. Could not hear other guests through the walls and ceiling. Air conditioning worked but was not super-cold despite attempts to lower the temperature via the old-fashioned thermostat. Room was a bit worn - wall paper bunching here and there, furniture showing signs of age. Visible dust on the wood trim between the wall and the carpet. Bathroom was sparkling, but the tub and tile surrounding it showed some wear and tear.

The Stanford hotel is a great place to stay. It is right I. Central New York and was very convenient to visit the main landmarks. The staff were great as was the room. I would definitely recommend it

Blood stained pillow for the first night. We had a normal bathroom mat for the first night but not the second night. placed a small towel (same small towel for guest) on the floor for the second night. Then no bathroom mat for the third night.
