I made a quick trip to Virginia to see my son before he left on deployment. Wanting to stay near his base, I booked at the Marriott since it had the accommodations I was looking for, such as, free breakfast, a pool for my younger son to swim, and a gym. After looking at many hotels in the area, this one checked off all the boxes. Unfortunately it was not what was advertised. Breakfast was not included in the stay (even though it was advertised as offering a free continental breakfast), the pool looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in years. No filter or pump. Just disgusting still water, not to mention the garbage all over. Very dirty. The gym also looked like it was never cleaned. Our bedding had blood stains on it and the room all around was just very visibly dirty. Do not recommend.

The woman who greeted me on May 5th (pm) was super friendly and a great first contact at the hotel. She was efficient checking me I , and let me know about all the hotel had to offer. The room was clean and quiet. It was a quick overnight but I'd stay at this hotel again.

Disappointed!

Room was outdated, furnitures were not cleaned- stains on sofa, floor was dusty, table was unbalanced, bathroom’s fan never worked. And the room had old smell. Marriott should be in better conditioned. Disappointed!
