Clean and very comfortable. It's a fairly new hotel - 3 years old. Besides the great breakfast offered, we enjoyed a dinner here too. The onion pie was really good. It was delicious! Thanks to "Nelson" (if I remembered his name correctly) for recommending it. Reception staff are also very helpful & friendly. Special mention to Pedro Marques who helped us check in and gave good suggestions for our stay. Walkable to riverside and attractions. Only thing is the do not disturb/ make up room sign kept flying off doors. I saw this happen outside other doors too. Signs ended up on the floor. Some kind soul then put the sign back on our door but with the wrong message. This led to our room not being serviced while we were out.

Probably the best hotel I’ve stayed in in Europe. Very attentive staff, wonderful breakfast, gorgeous clean stylish rooms, the best view from a rooftop pool. Location was great, 10 minutes walk to the historical centre and right next to the beautiful gardens.

Very modern building yet just ten minutes walk to the Historic Centre. Walkable to Dura River , on main road but you hardly notice traffic noise , Historic Tram just across the road ten minutes ride to the ocean Room spacious, clean and comfortable bed all pillows options available. Great variety of buffet breakfast in a spacious restaurant, cozy lobby but what makes the hotel , and my stay stand out is none of the above, it’s the Staff the greet you with smile and make every effort to help guide and advise making your stay at the hotel and the area as comfortable and enjoyable as possible

Wonderful stay for our first visit to Porto

We arrived at the hotel before midday but were pleased that our room was ready. Our room was lovely with a view of the river and everywhere in the hotel was spotless. We took advantage of the indoor pool a few times and the water was at a good temperature. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and we would certainly come back again.

We had a wonderful stay at Altis Porto and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a 5 star experience! We can’t remember everyone’s names, but from the front desk to the bar staff to the spa (Caita) to the restaurant (Nelson), everyone went out of their way to make our stay truly special. The hotel is situated within walking distance to the city centre and major attractions. Our room was comfortable and the food was exceptional. We have recommended this hotel to friends and family too! A massive thank you again!

Excellent hotel. Great service. Hotel is new and it is decorated exquisitely. Has a very good spa area. They supply robes. The room is spacious and organized well. The shower is just right. Not in center of town but 12 minutes walk. We also went to a mexican restaurant Frida nearby. Also recommended
