The region is easy to explore by bike, with a popular cycle path towards Bergen running right on the edge of the village. Swimming and fishing opportunities can be found on the Strelasund, approx. 7 km away. The long sandy beaches around Binz can be reached in half an hour by car, and the Hanseatic city of Stralsund with its shopping facilities, restaurants and many attractions, such as the Oceaneum, the Oceanographic Museum, the Hansedom bathing paradise and the zoo, is only approx. 15 km away.
