Beautiful building and decor. Very comfortable with an elevated atmosphere. I will stay here again. I was very impressed with the suite I stayed in. Very spacious and beautiful, with a big shower and separate jet tub. The bed was very comfortable. The building has a historic feel, that's up kept beautifully.

The cleanliness of the room could have been a lot better, there was hair in the shower and the carpet needed a good vacuuming. We tried to enjoy a coffee in the outside courtyard but there were several homeless people sleeping on the chairs and benches on the property. The staff didn't seem to be phased by this at all. The bar closed really early even though there was a show at the Preforming Arts, we went elsewhere on foot.

Decidedly mixed

Some basics were missing: no coffee keurig pods (only decaf and tea), crusted soap dispenser, food at back of bed on floor, no corner arm chair. Linens were great and good quality. Neighborhood was scary. No eggs for elegant-looking breakfast.

Horrible location with potentially homeless people lingering around right in front. Leaning on our car while trying to check in. Hotel is old and not even close to a 4* hotel. Will never stay again. Staff were very friendly and tried to be accommodating.
