The stay was great. The beach amazing. And some of the staff where great. I think the property need a little bit of love and some repairs like the pool. The food was good but wasnt hot enough. The room need some cleaning and changes. But overall it was a good vacation.

The stay at Senator was not a pleaseant experience. In the room water was coming out of the shower. The water did not filter well. Room had a very heavy musty smell. Then, when switched rooms, water still came out of the shower. The toilet clugged. The safe's battery went low and shut off with our things in it. And last the bed legs are off or broken on the bottom of the bed. Food was ok, first day I got stomach pains from the food. Overall, not a pleasant experience.

We arrived 15:00 hours check inn room was not ready. One hour later we got the room take a shower and there is no shampoo floor dirty. We moved to another suite. Then we make a reservation to eat on the steak restaurant and they don't hace ac we have to eat out side was better. Staff was very nice. But the property and management they need to better thank you

My overall experience was good here. I’ve stayed at many all inclusive resorts in many countries so I don’t want to unfairly compare this one because I don’t know enough about the area. My experience in Punta Cana which is also in the Dominican Republic was quite different. What I would say here is the alcohol selections need to be improved. Not enough variety and almost no name recognition for US visitors.

Water cut off while I was showering had to wait a few minutes for it to come back on , the next morning I woke up there was no water and had toilet issues water was rising and not flushing. Had to let water run in the shower daily to get warm . I also had a cockroach dying in my room. Everything was reported to guess services. The breakfast was horrible eggs wasn’t cooked properly daily eggs were runny poor food choices same thing every day unless you were able to make a reservation at 2 other restaurants there. Twice I asked staff for Orange Juice the guy told me one day it’s on the table rather than showing me where it was the next day I asked a girl she sucked her teeth then took her time to bring it to me this was poor customer service in the general eating area. If you speak Spanish you’re fine if not have a translator on your phone to communicate with staff whenever you want something. There were a few staff members that spoke and could understand English. Front desk & customer service spoke English well . Pictures of resort on Expedia make you think it’s a nice resort however after these experiences it was very Disappointing! Never again! It’s 30 minutes to 1 hour ride from Pop airport lot of traffic to and from resort.

The rooms not safe moldy smell having to go to bed with bed wet it felt moist terrible ac not working because the sliding door don’t close properly elevator not working the pool supper dirty the food terrible service they don’t have customer service skills not good for big party no reservation one of us had birthday and paid 80 dollars so we could have something nice prepared we asked for a Dominican cake with suspiro yes we will have everything really nice the cake was old nothing like the Dominican. Cake they did not put us where they said nothing to do at night when you ask for a drink no we don’t have anything we ran out the shower terrible water from the minute you come it to the end of trip water coming out from the other side of the shower my experience to puerto plata wasn’t good the only good thing was the driver that took us to all excursion because there was nothing to do in the hotel
