The staff, the food, the amenities, the suites were top notch. It's just so relaxing there while you take in the sound of the water and hear the air go through the palm trees. The only downside was the sargassum (aka...seaweed). This prevented us from going into the water but the pools and the atmosphere made up for that. My wife and I will definitely be back when the seaweed conditions are more favorable.

Our stay at Sanctuary was excellent, the property was beautiful, with a very calming vibe. All of the staff was extremely helpful and pleasant to be around. The room was beautifully designed with my favorite feature being the rainfall shower head that had digital temperature control, and also the bathtub on the balcony. A couple staff member I would like to give a shout out, we became very close with them and they were standout above the rest would have to be Felix and Oscar, both of them working poolside made sure that any need we had was taken care of. Hoping the best for them as they grow within your company. I only gave a 4 star review for the concoctions of the property because of the closure of the beach due to the seaweed. Luckily we had already spent 5 days at one of the most beautiful beaches on the island so it wasn’t a big miss for us. But for some guests could have been a big issue if they were specifically coming to enjoy the beach area in Punta Cana. It would not hurt to invest in a better barrier system for the future seaweed season. Other than that everything else at the resort was exceptional and we would love to return someday.

We had an amazing stay at Sanctuary Cap Cana, a Luxury Collection Resort. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and taken care of—truly exceptional service throughout our visit. The food was outstanding, with a variety of delicious options and beautifully presented dishes at every restaurant. The property itself is stunning, elegant, and perfect for a relaxing getaway. The only downside was the beach during our stay—it wasn’t usable due to a large amount of seaweed and muddy water. However, the gorgeous pools and overall experience more than made up for it. We would definitely return and highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for luxury, comfort, and top-notch hospitality.

The property is beautiful and our swim up room was perfect. The staff were all wonderful, especially Emilio, our butler. The food choices were good but I was not happy with the taste. The beach was unusable due to the seaweed. The smell is bad but it’s the time of year it comes in and it’s all over. Overall, we had a relaxing stay but nightlife could be better.

The staff was the best part of my stay at Sanctuary Cap Cana. All of them were helpful, amiable, efficient. Don’t think I have enough adjectives. But the rooms were tired and in need of a refresh. I was in room 6102 and the bathroom was a mess. Even worse was the shower where the shower head needed a cleaning so water would come out of all the holes. That rain shower head was more of a sprinkle than rain. Also, the water temperature could not be controlled. Sometimes it would initially come out at 50*C/112*F. That’s a second degree burn. I was able to lower the temperature to 25* but it still felt much higher than that. Not only is it a health hazard but imagine spending a day in the sun and not being able to lower the water temperature below mid 80s F. Limited restaurants availability. The restaurant staff was limited and some of the restaurants would not open when they were scheduled to be open. The reason for this was that staff would be moved from one restaurant to another and there was not enough staff to operate all advertised restaurants.

The condition of the water at the beach was horrible, full of algae. We could not put one foot in the water. I think the Resort should make customers aware of the water situation, I understand is not their fault, it is nature BUT , they should be honest and let people decide. For me, the water was the main reason for the trip. So I was very disappointed!

The grounds were beautiful. Disappointed that there was no ocean to get into and enjoy. The smell from the seaweed was overwhelming! The buffet was really a cafeteria and the food was not good . Not being self service was quite annoying. Could not get a reservation in the Italian restaurant. Steak restaurant was not good. Service slow Food too salty…

We were unable to eat at one of the restaurants on the property called “The Wok.” You have to make reservations with the concierge for this restaurant, but every time we spoke with the concierge, we were informed that The Wok was closed for a private event. One time the concierge told us The Wok was closed as the reason we were unable to book a reservation and we had just spoke with a couple who already had reservations to eat there. If all the restaurants won’t be available during the scheduled stay, then that information should be shared prior to booking, so you don’t arrive only to find out that this resort actually isn’t “All Inclusive”
