We loved staying here, for 2 nights! The restaurant is absolutely delicious! Everything we ordered was very tasty! (beef, cod, pork). The property was well maintained, very clean and absolutely gorgeous! 3 hot tubs, with a great view (even in the fog) made relaxing a piece of cake. I do wish they had mini fridges in room but they will store cold items for you at the front desk. The rooms were well laid out, for drying out clothes, the shower was great with good water pressure and clean! Bed was comfortable as well. Only complaint would be for the breakfast buffet- cook the eggs longer or even have an omelet station for the price. Enjoyed our stay and would definitely book again!

Highly recommended. View from hot tubs and sauna outside is amazing. Front desk and server at upstairs restaurant were nice. Bar staff downstairs was ok. When we reported fire place was out of gas at our table and he just told me to go front desk. Everything else was amazing.

The property is stunning, clean & has amazing decor. Unfortunately, the housekeeping stole my wife’s earrings. Our own fault for leaving them in the bathroom then checking out. But the attitude of the gentleman at the reception desk was poor when we returned.

Beautiful room and property. Food has been good so far. The service has been fine, but that’s about it. They neglected to offer up bread in the restaurant for dinner. There’s no bell service for bags. No bell carts in sight, which isn’t awesome if you have a fair amount of luggage for an extended trip. But the staff is friendly and helpful.

Perfect Spot to Enjoy Glacier Lagoon/Diamond Beach

We had an excellent stay at the Hotel Jokulsarlon. Sadly, the country was in a major weather alert situation so the views you would typically see were not visible. Despite this, we were able to still do a Glacier Lagoon boat tour and enjoy the hotels outdoor hot tubs. We also enjoyed a wonderful meal at the restaurant. On check-out day, the sun came out and we did get to see what the normal setting is and it truly is spectacular. The rooms are super nice and they provide slippers and robes for the trip to the hot tubs. We enjoyed our visit to the area very much and are glad we stayed two nights. This enabled us to have a second chance at the Diamond Beach. It is beautiful in any weather but extra so in the sun. We stayed in a Glacier View Room. They also offer Mountain View Rooms which is also nice given there are 4 waterfalls spilling down the mountains. I really enjoyed the sitting areas near floor to ceiling windows where comfy sofas and chairs are provided to enjoy tea or coffee or a cocktail. Speaking of which....the Midnight Sun martini (Orange gin, white wine and aperol) has to be one of the best cocktails I have ever had!

The hotel room was extremely spacious and the facilities were lovely. Sauna and hot tubs were busy but everyone kept to themselves so you could stl enjoy your time there. The food at the restaurant was very good as well.
