This resort is very dated. If you don’t care about using any of the amenities, the price is a great deal. We found the room reasonably clean, though there were stains on the lampshade, lots of scuff marks on the wall, and amateur repair work on the sliding screen for the big bathtub. It was comfortable but felt cheaply repaired. The breakfast was eh. The sauna wasn’t working, the pool looked dated, the grounds looked dilapidated, and the exercise room was a musty afterthought. I needed to clean clothes in the laundry room, and the from desk employee told me that he wouldn’t charge me. Lol! The room was dirty and chaotic and the dryer didn’t dry the clothing really well. Kinda sad, given the stunning location and the friendly owners. I have photographs so that it doesn’t seem like I’m being vindictive. When I also read through the reviews online, I truly believe some of the super positive reviews are fake reviews to try to keep this establishment in the “4 star review” category. This is not 4 star. It could be 4 star, if the owners put money into updating the place. There’s so much potential to make it the premiere place. What I liked about it was a) I slept well b) the bathtub and c) the view of the lake. Other than that. I wish the owners well but it’s not a 4 star venue.

Basically a nice hotel but looks like it’s due for renovation. My daughter was extremely disappointed that they weren’t willing to send on the plush toy that she accidentally left in our room. They confirmed they had it at reception but I never heard from them again when I asked (three times) if they could send it to me in the UK at my own expense. It was one of a pair that she got with her best friend and I can’t replace it as they’re out of stock everywhere. 😕

We loved the setting, beautiful view of the lake, very calm and peaceful. The hotel facilities and room are definitely a bit run down and in need of maintenance, dinner in the restaurant was delicious.

the breakfast was very expensive for what was provided. I see that we were supposed to have a free breakfast? IT was a lovely property but I think they require a few more employees to help with maintenance and cleaning in the common areas. The room was very clean. Nice people running it.

The geothermal waters have corroded the Tapware and other fittings within the facility. We checked in after hours and the process was smooth overseen by restaurant staff. Unfortunately, the bathroom requires a really good scrub down and showering left us feeling dirty. We did not have breakfast in our package. Parking was abundant and free and it was lovely to look around the lake. Approximately 10 to 15 minutes back into town.
