The windows in the room was drafty so even though the heating was on the room remained cold. Had to keep the curtains closed all the time. Staff were pleasant. Pancakes at breakfast would have been nice for the kid.

I would like to mention a few concerns regarding the hotel room. There were not enough towels or sufficient toilet paper provided. There were also no extra sheets available, nor any instructions on how to request them. Additionally, the floor was quite cold, and no slippers were provided for comfort. The bathroom drain was clogged as well, which made taking a shower uncomfortable and inconvenient.

Clean room can get a little noisy if you have a room facing the street as there is no double glazing to block out noise. and great location with plenty of shops and restaurants near by. My stay was however let down by an average check in experience I was overcharged and asked to pay the city tax however this was nearly equal to the total cost of the stay which isn’t correct I questioned this with the reception staff member who went out back to ask a supervisor 10 mins later of standing around and they admitted there had been a mistake and I would receive a refund. I was then asked again to pay the city tax at the correct price of about €4. Fast forward a couple of weeks and I have received a refund however still a couple of days without the money in my account for something that shouldn’t have happened in the first place.

Hotel is one of the oldest, if not the oldest and it is in the middle of the city centre. Hotelroom I stayed in was very modern and completely refurbished with a view of the Coolsingel. Staff is very friendly and professional.
