I love the Sophia and we have stayed here many times, but did not like the coffee change. Preferred coffee being served on the 2nd floor, not that coffee served in the room. We’ll either buy coffee at Starbucks or change hotels!!!

The location of the hotel is really good and staff is super nice. The hotel rooms are rather small and when I showered, the water came out into the room and the floor was really wet afterwards. Overall I did enjoy my stay though.

The Sofia Hotel is a good hotel not far from desirable areas like Little Italy and Gaslamp. The room layout and facilities were good, I liked the water station on my floor and the coffee and the bed was comfortable. Better quality soap would be nice but perhaps would afford a higher tariff and the stairway carpet was noticeably worn. The addition of a ground floor bar would have been a good touch. After a transatlantic flight I was disappointed to find I would have to wander outside the hotel to have a drink and a chat with my colleagues. That said I liked the next door Starbucks and would stay again.
