Great find! Clean and friendly, the only thing we might recommend upgrading are mattresses. But it is a decently priced budget place that is clean and offers free parking and it’s dog friendly. We will absolutely be back.

The room was spotless and the staff were very friendly! The courtyard with the greenery was really beautiful. The style in the room was a bit dated, but it didn’t feel overly worn/used everything was clean and in good shape. FREE PARKING. Very dog friendly (in the kitchen rooms) and only $25 a night pet fee. This feels like a mom and pop place that wants to provide a good budget space but still cares about your experience as a customer!

Our stay at the Marina Motel was amazing! We were in town for a girls night to see a concert at The Palace of Fine Arts. The location could not have been more perfect. The Motel is like an oasis off of Lombard street. The staff was amazing and the room was spacious and clean.

This is a very nice managed motel. Very clean and friendly, highly recommend this motel if going to UCSF. Loved that my dogs were invited as well. The managers of Marina Motel were very accommodating. Could walk to many restaurants to eat and Walgreens right down the street, all within walking distances.

This is the second time we stayed at Marina Motel. We love the garden courtyard, which is an oasis from busy Lombard Street. Unfortunately the room we initially had on this most recent visit had an odd smell, was quite small (no kitchen), and did not seem super clean. After one night with no improvement in the smell, we mentioned it to a staff member. She was amazing! She apologized and gave us a room upgrade that was a HUGE improvement. Now I know which room to ask for, because it also had a lovely view out the kitchen window! Even if my new favorite room is not available, I will make sure to request a room with kitchen since those are altogether more spacious & useful.
