Pretty basic hotel

We had booked a studio with sea view, not realising that it wasn't the same side as the caldera view. Unfortunately the room looked nothing like the pictures and was quite dated and dark, so not inviting at all. We raised this with the owner and weren't able to change rooms, so left a bit disappointed. Breakfast was nothing special in our view and got boring very quickly. Overall an okay stay and reasonable price considering Santorini prices, but wouldn't stay again

Good location

Good location . Very helpful manager . Property seemed a little tired and not as luxurious as made out to be ,assume that the better rooms are those with the Caldera view .Great views of the sunrise but the balcony had seen better days ,needed some TLC . Breakfast was OK ,again we had expected something a little better such as freshly squeezed juice however bringing it to each room was a nice touch . Santorini is very expensive however we felt that this property didn't offer the same value for money as others we have stayed in .

Pavlos is an excellent host and the hotel has a stunning view. It’s clean and quiet, a bit out of way in Imerovigli but walkable to everything. Highly recommend.

Loved our stay at Abelonas Retreat. Excellent location right on the walking trail. Amazing sunset views ( why struggle with all the gawkers in Oia when you can watch from your own place?). Our stay at Albenos Retreat in Santorini was nothing short of magical. Perched above the caldera, the retreat offered breathtaking views in every direction. From the west-facing balcony, we watched the sun sink into the Aegean Sea in a blaze of color each evening—a truly unforgettable Santorini sunset. On the east side, we were greeted each morning by the gentle glow of the sunrise, casting light over the island and starting each day with serenity. The rooms were spotless, thoughtfully designed, and comfortable—offering a perfect mix of modern amenities and Cycladic charm. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready with a smile and local tips to enhance our stay. One of the highlights was enjoying our daily breakfast on our balcony, with fresh local ingredients and unbeatable views. It was the perfect way to slow down and take in the peaceful surroundings. Albenos Retreat was a peaceful haven that gave us the best of Santorini’s natural beauty and warm hospitality. We’d return in a heartbeat.

Perfect location, beautiful property & views!

This was my second time and my family’s third time staying at this property. It is the only one I will stay in when I visit Santorini. It is just far enough away from the crowds of Oia, and in my opinion, has a better view anyways of the Caldera. It is right at the beginning of the path to Oia, and it’s a very convenient location. The service is really what makes the difference though. They treat you like family, they are very welcoming, and extremely helpful. If you need anything at all, they will help. I love this place and I will definitely be back again!

Great Spot, Amazing Host

Stayed here for 5 days and loved every day. The room gets breakfast delivered daily to the room, and they come and clean when you leave. The host really made us feel like we were on vacation and gave us lots of good food spots and activities that needed to be done. If you book, know that the view from inside the room isn't always the best, but a two-second walk does give an amazing view of the island. Also, if you decide to stay, ask the host for advice or anything, and he will help. Last but not least, just something I may have missed in the booking, but know that the airport transport is not free, they are 30 euros each way when I stayed. (It is not a bad price because taxis may be around the same, but letting you know because if you rent a car, you can have that at the airport ready to drive).

Wonderful stay

The hospitality was unmatched. We did all the restaurant recommendation and they were great. The made to order breakfast was a nice touch. We felt like vip guests. Finally the view of the sunset was amazing .. We actually left oia early as the crowds are unbearable just so we can get back to the room to watch the sunset. Your room is really the best view out of the whole island:

Excellent view you can see from room

Wonderful view from room. Beds are comfortable. But facility need to be upgrade. We don’t like shower tub. There is no guard or door to stop the water from splashing out. It makes watery while you use bathroom. Breakfast is many selection you can choice.
