Hotel was clean and in a great location, and the rooftop pool and bar were a nice amenity. We paid extra through Expedia for a “bay view” room, but the view felt misleading: another building was directly across from our window, and the bay was only visible from a very specific spot in the room. The front desk apologized and said the bay view used to be better before the other building was built, but no alternate rooms were available. Overall we enjoyed our stay, but we would not pay extra for the bay view again—we would have preferred a standard room with a better city view and to save the added cost.

The room was excellent in all aspects.We were there to celebrate my 60th birthday. Our only problem was not being able to turn off the AC in our room. My mother was sadly taken ill on the 25th & was admitted to Sarasota Memorial for 36 hrs. I informed reception evening of 25th that our room would be empty that night. I was v disappointed that on our return no one showed any interest in my mother’s welfare. We also checked out of the hotel one day earlier than planned.
