Description of the village
The Walser village of Schmitten (1300 metres above sea level) lies in the heart of Graubünden between Lenzerheide and Davos, above the world-famous Landwasser Viaduct. The Albula Valley, which lies in the "Parc Ela" nature park, is surrounded by a beautiful, striking mountain landscape. In summer and winter alike, there are many opportunities to be active or simply relax in peace and quiet. Schmitten has a village shop and a butcher's shop.
