Beautiful hotel, room was amazingly clean, solid fixtures. Staff were very friendly and helpful and breakfast was waiting for us the next morning and it was incredible, the best breakfast I’d had after 2 weeks travelling round the continent.

Hidden Gem - stay nowhere else!

After a hard day sight seeing at the Autostadt in Wolfsburg, having the good fortune to stay here has been one of the best parts of our 5 weeks European adventure. The couple that run this hotel are some of the most hospitable, accomodating and hilarious people that you will ever meet and the recent renovations are some of the best I have encountered in a smaller, boutique establishment. The room is a fantastic size, the bed so comfortable you could stay in all night and day and the bathroom was so big and spacious we took pictures to prove to friends it wasn't our imagination. It almost didn't run to plan - we arrived a bit late to find the reception had shut. Perplexed by a mobile phone issue we had the fortune to encounter a fellow guest who advised the management ran the restaurant about 100 metres down the street called 'Grandma's Kitchen' and we could go there to sort out Check-in. This was the most fortuitous thing because while checking in, we checked out the menu and decided to return for dinner which was the best Jäger Schnitzel I have eaten ever and the two girls running the floor were the absolute best staff ever for two non-German speaking tourists. A word of advice - do NOT leave without having breakfast. It is positively everything you would ever want in a breakfast at a ridiculously low price and a real highlight of our trip. Will definitely come back and recommend to any one who will listen! BOOK NOW!

Ein schönes Wochenende in Schöningen

Die Unterkunft ist erst vor kurzem renoviert, sehr geschmackvoll, wie wir finden. Einzig für gehbehinderte Menschen könnte die steile Treppe ein Problem sein, das sollte bei der Buchung gefragt werden. Die Zimmer sind perfekt sauber. Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral und man ist in 5 Minuten auf dem Marktplatz. Wir haben die Frühstücksmöglichkeit genutzt im benachbarten Restaurant Omi`s Gaststube. Zum einen ist das reichliche und liebevoll arrangierte Frühstück zu empfehlen und zum anderen ist ein Besuch des Restaurants vor allen denen ans Herz zu legen, die es urgemütlich und ein bisschen nostalgisch lieben.

Ganz ok für einfache Ansprüche

Wir hatten ein sehr grosses Zimmer, wobei man eigentlich nicht von Zimmer sprechen kann, sondern eher von einem Appartment. Service gab es nicht viel doch uns ging es auch primär darum, eine Schlafstelle zu haben in der Nähe von Wolfsburg.

Ein modern und sehr geschmackvoll renoviertes Hotel. Unsere Räder konnten sicher verschlossen werden. Das einige Schritte vom Hotel entfernte Restaurant wie in Omas Küche, serviert gute und leckere Speisen.

Positiver Aufenthalt

Ein schönes Hotel, zentral gelegen, ich habe aber trotzdem noch einen Parkplatz bekommen, sehr schönes Ambiente, viel Fachwerk, super freundlicher Empfang. Nicht so gut empfand ich, dass ich zum Bezahlen und zum Erhalt der Rechnung erst einmal zu einem anderen Gebäude laufen musste. Schönes, ausreichend großes Zimmer, größeres gemütliches Bett, aller sehr charmant eingerichtet und sauber. Tisch zum Arbeiten m. freier Steckdose vorhanden, großer Flatscreen-Fernseher, alles sehr modern. Das Bad war insgesamt auch gut, groß, sauber, hübsch eingerichtet. Leider wurde es trotz außerhäusiger Minus-Temperaturen nicht richtig warm, ein Lüfter fehlte (das Fenster im Winter keine gute Lösung) und anscheinend war auch die Duschwand nicht dicht, da es nach dem Duschen doch auf dem Boden unangenehm nass war – hier sehe ich Optimierungsbedarf. Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis hat gepasst – trotz meiner paar kleinen Meckereien, komme ich gerne wieder.

Super Geschäftsidee

Sehr sauber. Ausstattung auf dem neuesten Standard. Etwas ungewohnt ist ein fehlendes Restaurant im Haus. Auch zum Frühstücken muss man das Haus verlassen. Aber Omas Küche macht alles wieder wett. Super!
