Only bonus is close to beach

Disappointed. Check in took too long. Only one employee was checking in guests. However, the employee was engaging with a guest about restaurant recommendations. So, our family needed to wait longer than would be expected. Rooms appeared out dated. Hallways were confusing. Took me a wrong turn trying to find the elevator when exiting my room. Could only imagine what it would be like for a senior citizen. I will say one good feature is the proximity to the beach. It’s literally just a traffic light and short walk past about 4 beach houses to the access walkway.

Overall, a clean location and very convenient to many restaurants, the beach, etc. I was disappointed that the bar/kitchen was closed during my stay.

Property was close to beach and walking distance to restaurants and shops. The staff when checking in was abrupt and rude. We wish the rooms were updated. The room had peeling paint and wallpaper and no seal around the shower so floor got saturated.

Overall the staff was very good. We had a water problem but they helped to fix it. The room was what we expected. The only negative issue we had was with the breakfast. It wasn't very good. Asked for eggs over easy but they came broken and firm. The breakfast was way over priced.

Great Vacay!

My stay was amazing!! Easy check-in and out process. The hotel was in close proximity to food establishments and a short walk to the beach!! Everyone was so nice and helpful at the hotel. We absolutely had a wonderful time!!

Nice hotel but disappointing food service area

Hotel was great but food service area disappointing. For breakfast we were asked what we would like to order and when we did were then told what I wanted couldn’t be prepared because of a broken piece of equipment. Why not point out what items are not available before ordering? Then we ordered oatmeal which took a long time to arrive and then came out very watery.

I’ve stayed at this property on several different occasions. It has always been my go to place when visiting St Augustine. The Marriott is nice but it’s past time for an upgrade. The rooms need a brighter and happier look, carpet and all. I left out a night earlier 06/28/2025, because of storms rolling in and I didn’t want to be stuck in a gloomy feeling room. Rooms are past due for an upgrade.

Clean, safe hotel with welcoming staff. Both the inside and outside lounge area were comfortable. There was always fresh water in the lobby. My only suggestion for the future is perhaps add some more hanging areas for towels/ suits in the rooms, especially since it’s a beach location.
