## Review: Guy Harvey Resort St. Augustine Beach – A Mixed Bag with Great Highlights and Notable Drawbacks
My recent stay at the Guy Harvey Resort St. Augustine Beach presented a mixed experience, showcasing both the resort's strengths and areas clearly in need of attention. While the **lobby, bar, and staff** undoubtedly left a fantastic impression, the condition of the **rooms** significantly impacted the overall comfort and enjoyment of the stay.
Upon arrival, the **lobby** immediately set a welcoming tone. It was tastefully decorated, clean, and offered a pleasant first impression. This positive start continued at the **bar**, which was a definite highlight. The atmosphere was enjoyable, and the drinks were well-prepared. Most importantly, the **staff** across the board were truly exceptional. From check-in to interactions with bar tenders and other resort personnel, their friendliness, efficiency, and willingness to assist were consistently outstanding. This dedicated and personable team genuinely enhanced our experience in these public areas.
However, the positive aspects unfortunately did not extend to the guest rooms. The most significant issue was how **outdated** the rooms felt. While I understand a resort of this age might show some wear, the decor and fixtures appeared tired and in need of a refresh.
