The first room we were given, none of the outlets but one worked which meant only the TV worked. Fridge and microwave didn’t work. Hair dryer old and rusty, also did not work. Towels and sheets dirty. They moved us to another room the second night but I will not stay there again.

⭐ Very Disappointing and Unacceptable Experience We had an extremely unpleasant experience at this hotel and would not recommend it to anyone—especially those traveling with a disabled guest. When we arrived, we informed the front desk that we needed a first-floor room due to a disabled person in our party who could not use stairs. The man at the desk told us there were no first-floor rooms available, so we reluctantly checked into an upstairs room. Once inside, the condition of the room was horrible: • The ceiling showed major water damage, clearly an ongoing issue that appeared unresolved • There was a strong, unpleasant odor throughout the room • The windows were completely cloudy, as if the seals were broken, making it impossible to see outside • The bathroom sink had no plug • The couch had large brown stains and was clearly unsanitary—we wouldn’t even consider sitting on it Might I add they called this their “Deluxe Room”! Because of both the stairs and the condition of the room, we immediately went back to the desk to request a refund. Suddenly, the same man said he did have a first-floor room available after all. At that point, we had no intention of staying, yet he refused to issue a refund. We left and booked a room next door at the Hampton Inn, which was clean, professional, and accommodating. One final concern: the parking lot remained completely empty for 3 days. Very suspicious situation and unsettling at the very least!

The staff is friendly, but they should change the sheets and mattresses on the beds and the towels; even though they smelled clean, they give the impression of being dirty.

Pictures on Expedia portray a clean “old world “ Florida motel, what you actually get is an unkempt, poorly maintained, hell of a motel. After checking in, which was a tedious experience in its own, walked through courtyard and in plain sight is a gallon jug of bed bug killer. Inquired about it at desk and showed the picture of the jug. Was told by the “not owner” that it has been out in the Florida weather for the past three years. I live in Florida, it would not look brand new. Was not offered a refund to stay somewhere else and being a trusting person believed the man. In the room we had dirty linens, electrical sockets that were cracked and coming away from wall, safety lock broken and 1/2 inch gap between door and doorframe . Speaking of doorframes, not one door in room was clean or looked like they have been washed in years. Cracks in wall and chunk of wall missing by bathroom door. Pictures on Expedia show a cute little patio area with a grill. That grill is rusty and unsanitary with the patio area a total mess of grim and dirt. Pool area is a joke. And we haven’t even addressed the wiring in the back of hotel that is not up to code. All departments applicable as far as code violations and Florida health and safety have been notified along with pictures. Unsafe property and owner who doesn’t care. Please stay away. It’s a shame that a quaint building is in such disrepair.

It was great little place close to town. The only thing is there wasn’t a phone in the room to call the front office. Our smoke detector kept going off & my husband had to walk to the office to get someone. We would stay there again.
