My girlfriend and I were skeptical after booking as we both read negative reviews. We both disagree with MUCH of what people had to say. We were extremely happy with our stay. We stayed in a Comfort Double / Twin Room with Balcony and Sea View. The rooms were beautiful. Yes, for your "sea view" you have the parking lot in front of you, but the view of the castle and beach is still breathtaking. The bed was comfy, blackout curtains, and bathroom was nice. Small room, with not a lot of storage space, but that's the only downside. All we needed the room to sleep in and recoup once or twice a day, so we didn't mind the size. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Courtyard was extremely peaceful with a downstairs bar. Rooftop pool was just enough of what we needed. Not a huge pool, but was not crowded in there during our stay. The lounge chairs on the rooftop are comfortable and all have an umbrella (should you wish to use). The rooftop bar and service was very professional and quick, although we wished at one point someone was coming around to see if anyone needed anything. Still, they were quick, delivered your snacks / drinks to where you were sitting and were very friendly. Spa access was a nice amenity (if you like that kind of thing). Sauna, steam room, cold plunge, mini jacuzzi (wasn't heated), and a bunch of comfy spa lounge chairs. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would come back again.

This hotel was simply heavenly. The room was spacious, clean, and bright. Very comfortable for a family of four. The breakfast buffet fresh and delicious. Check in was easy. Definitely didnt realize if you have a car, parking isn't included and its a charge. Unfortunately their lot was full so we had to fond alternative parking and it was far. Upon arrival to our room, everything was clean and fresh nothing negative about the cleanliness. The inly negative is there was no welcome info about hours of bar, pool, breakfast and etc. so we had to keep asking for information. They also did not prepare us for needing separate cards for pool towels and it one card per towel. Why we were not given these upon check in ? Other than those minor details we had an amazing time with our stay.

We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. We particularly enjoyed the spa, which was very relaxing, and we had a great view of the sea from our hotel room. The staff (particularly doormen) we’re amazing and provided great service. One thing to note is that the hotel did not provide us with bottles of water, and we had to pay several euros to purchase them. Considering it is a 5 star hotel, it would be nice if they would provide this. Otherwise, we had a great, relaxing stay and would not hesitate to come back!

Amazing location, terrible overall

While I want to love this place because of location and lobby aesthetic, it’s full of problems… There is no desk (not suitable for any computer work), no drawers at all (clothing was a mess on a shelf), no bedside table drawers (no place for PJs, etc so it was just a mess on a table), A/C is controlled remotely and barely worked at all (we were miserably hot constantly and called down 6 times for a thermostat override), sat at the bar being intentionally ignored for 15 mins until we had to leave for dinner. The gym advertised on the website wasn’t open (until May!). Maid service on one day: took our room key, didn’t leave any towels so I got out of the shower to have nothing to dry off on, left no coffee pods so we had to call down and wait for them.
No drawers, so your clothing is a mess on a shelf
No bedside drawer for PJs, etc so you end up with a mess

We liked the decor but overall felt the hotel was quite souless. During our stay we didn't see one person using the ground floor bar or lounge area. The breakfasts were okay but the service was chaotic with too few staff to assist with hot drinks. Coffee machine was constantly breaking down. The rooftop pool was very cold and univiting. The staff were generally quite helpful but not particularly friendly. Overall we believe this hotel is not currently worthy of its five star rating

We had an incredible stay at Elisabeth by the Sea in Tossa de Mar. The location is unbeatable—right in front of the sea, so you can walk to the beach in just a minute and reach the charming medieval town in about five minutes. We arrived late, but the receptionist made our check-in quick and easy, giving us all the details about breakfast and the hotel’s facilities, which was much appreciated after our long trip. We initially booked a comfort room, which was immaculate, beautifully decorated, and had a stunning front-facing view of the sea. Although the room was a bit small for us, we decided to upgrade to a deluxe room. The upgrade was well worth it—the deluxe room was spacious, elegantly decorated, and truly felt like a five-star experience. A big thanks to Conchi at reception for being so helpful and accommodating with our requests. Although we didn’t use the spa, we checked it out and found it to be very nice, with a small pool, sauna, and steam room—great for relaxation. Breakfast each morning was very good. While there weren’t a ton of options, the chefs were more than willing to prepare special requests. Chef Suyin was amazing, always cheerful and attentive, making sure we started our day with a smile. Ezequiel was also fantastic—always busy serving customers and keeping the dining area spotless. His hard work didn’t go unnoticed. The hotel’s interior is stunning, but the rooftop pool is definitely the highlight. The views from up there are amazing.
