Hotel was recently renovated. We have big room with large bathroom. Breakfast was rich with various with interesting dishes e.g. smoked salmon, caviar etc.

I might have come and gone from this hotel without ever realizing how amazing it is - had it not been for two emergencies that allowed the staff - particularly Barbara - to reveal herself as a super hero. The first was a bad slip in the room in the early am of Dec 26 that required intense first aid, and the second was a broken zipper on a huge suitcase the morning of a flight on Dec 26 when nothing in the city was open or would be open. Barbara, a former flight attendant, taped the bag closed and -wait for it - found an extra high end suitcase for our overflow stuff in the hotel storeroom some guest had left behind months before. In both instances, she was a calm voice I wish I had in my own head, but am sure not even 20 years of Viennese psychoanalysis would get me. You would have to pay quadruple the price to find comparable service at even a 5 star resort - if you even could (think: The White Lotus). This place is special - don’t overlook it.

This was our second stay in this wonderful hotel located in the optimal location of the city for attending cultural events. The opera is a short, two block walk, Same with Museum Quarter and Karlsplatz, and the Musikverein is also within close walking distance. Only a 15 - 20 minute walk downtown to the St. Stephen’s area. But even better than the location is the fantastic breakfast. It’s an extra charge but make sure to book it with your reservation. From 0630 to 1030 there are unlimited gourmet items to start your day - fresh breads and pastries, exotic meats and cheeses (the truffle jam was my favorite) - yogurts cereals, fruits - it’s really outstanding and served in a beautiful little room with windows overlooking the Secession Museum right across the street. We will definitely stay here whenever we come to Vienna in the future!

Great customer focus. The room itself was huge and a bit impersonal but nothing to complain about. I have to rate this hotel with 5 stars mainly for the super friendly and helpful staff. Most notably Milan at front desk who helped locate a suitcase that did not arrive at Vienna airport. He went over and above the call of duty when we were feeling frazzled. We enjoyed the breakfast with some great conversation with Hans with whom we practiced our German. It was my wife’s birthday and Hans arranged a candle lit cupcake surprise. The kitchen lady was also lovely There were several super helpful young ladies at the front desk whose names I did not note.

Staff was great. Location, location, location. Just a short walk to everything. Real safe area. Small rooms but the bed was nice and the room was clean. Shower pressure cold have been better, but just take it at night and it was good.
