apparently, I was placed in the adjoining “old building“ and I felt like one of the only people in that entire side of the hotel. I’m not sure anyone else was even on my floor. The view was not bad. The room was very sparse, no notable decor and I found it slightly depressing. If you’re going to the museums, it is in a good location. This is in the museum, quarter, district 6. I found the breakfast to be completely un appealing, it looked sad and I didn’t feel comfortable eating any of the food. Also, Weil breakfast ends at 10:30, they literally mean you have to leave that room by 10:30, you can’t even be finishing eating. Which leads me to the fact that in general, I didn’t care for the staff of the hotel. if you want an iron and ironing board, you’re expected to schlep it up to your room yourself. You are required to go to the front desk. Ask them to please give you an iron and ironing board and then drag it up to your room. I found the gentleman who appeared to be a manager to be condescending and passive aggressive. Also the woman who checked me in later in the afternoon on the day I arrived I found to be rude and was trying to rush me into releasing their free use of confidential identification information without telling me I had the right to decline, until I pushed back. She also had a very rude tone about the fact that I was “traveling all alone” Icannot recommend given depressing room + completely unappealing breakfast, + a couple of key staff members behavior

Roomy, close to attractions and public transport

I had looked for hotels close to the Vienna city center and compared features. This place seemed to be a good option. The only thing I was hoping to find was where breakfast was included, but that wasn’t part of our package (though it was available on-site). The hotel is about a block from an entrance to the Karlzplatz subway station. That station is fairly large, and this entrance is at the end of a 300-meter underground walkway (that keeps you out of traffic and the weather). That stop is also just 2 away from the central subway station where you connect to the airport, btw. The hotel is also within a 15-minut walk of the Hofburg complex and less than that to major tram routes that can get you to other attractions. The hotel offers 3 room sizes, the largest which can accommodate 3 – 4 persons. I think it was called the apartment configuration. It was fairly spacious and had a small kitchenette (with a small burner set but no microwave). You had to ask if you wanted cookware. We appreciated the space, though, especially compared to some other places (I’m looking at you, Amsterdam). There was air conditioning, which was nice after a hot afternoon. The only minor negative we had with the room was that the walls were a bit thin. A couple of different sets of room neighbors were semi-audible when they came in. The noise level will depend on those in the adjacent rooms, though. There was not much, if any, street noise, though.

My stay at this property was exceptional in every regard. The guest room was notably spacious and offered a tranquil environment, ideal for rest and relaxation. Its location proved highly convenient, with many of Vienna’s key attractions easily accessible on foot. The bathroom was particularly impressive—elegantly designed and impeccably maintained. Even the towel racks, often overlooked, were thoughtfully installed and surprisingly functional, contributing to an overall sense of comfort and attention to detail.

This hotel has a central location but there is no comfort, the towels are horrible old and low quality, the breakfast room is outdated food presentation is poor and poor variety some of the item don’t look fresh coffee also deficient no proper cups can’t get an American coffee. Lacks proper ventilation. The staff is courteous.
