Historiallisen Shenandoah-laakson sydämessä sijaitseva Deer Haven tarjoaa helpon pääsyn vertaansa vailla oleviin näkymiin laaksoon kaksikymmentä eristäytynyttä hehtaaria tukemalla kansallismetsää.

Deer Haven on vain 100 mailin päässä Washington DC: stä, 30 minuutin päässä Shenandoahin kansallispuistosta, Brycen ja Massanuttenin hiihtokeskuksista ja upeista Luray-luolista, ja vain muutaman minuutin päässä lukuisista sisällissodan taistelukentistä, viinitiloista, antiikkiliikkeistä ja Shenandoah-joesta. Kodissa on täysin varustettu, syövä keittiö, kolme kylpyä ja suuret kannet, joissa grilli, palo-kuoppa ja poreallas rentoutumiseen. What can i say other than "wow"? It's everything we expect and more. We did a lot of home cooking and everything we needed was provided. It was so clean and cozy. The views were spectacular. If i could give extra stars i would. My friends and I are already trying to come back next year. We especially appreciated the informative move in and out brochure that helped us plan our stay. This was the second time we've had a girls' weekend at this property. I came her with four of my friends a few months ago, and we liked it so much that we booked another weekend at the beginning of October. The house is lovely, and unbelievably clean! We appreciated that so much. The kitchen is well-stocked. There are two separate living spaces as well as ample decking with beautiful views. The master bedroom has a beautiful view of the mountains. The hosts have provided many games and books. There is a fire-pit area, and a hot tub on the deck, which we used. Also, a few of us went hiking on local trails. Mostly we just hung around the house and enjoyed ourselves, though. We all highly recommend this property, and I'm sure we'll be back. Thank you so much to our hosts!

I see why every review says exceptional. This property is amazing. The view and the setup to take it in from the deck and the house is incredible. Loved the hot tub setup as it makes it super easy to get in and out. The place was super clean and had everything you need in the kitchen. Definitely a place we would love to go back to!

Gorgeous peaceful retreat! Booked a last minute stay for my family of four, and could not have been more pleased. Everything was clean, comfortable, and the setting was beautiful. From morning coffee on the deck to stargazing it was as perfect. John’s welcome packet has great tips for nearby restaurants and sites that we enjoyed, and lots of helpful info. Would go back in a heartbeat.

We had a wonderful, relaxing stay at Deer Haven. We enjoyed rocking on the front porch, and melting our worries away in the hot tub. My sisters and I talked well into the night, then slept like rocks in the well appointed bedrooms. It is a beautiful place inside with the beauty of nature surrounding us outside.

Great place!

My first impression was how clean the place was. We were a total of 5 people and felt there was plenty of room for all of us to feel comfortable. In the room with the open windows, the surmise was beautiful but a sleep mask definitely helps if you don’t want to wake up when the sun comes up!

This airbnb (Deer Haven)is just lovely. It is just like the pictures and incredibly clean! I actually couldn't get over how clean it is. Everything is well-stocked - the kitchen, linens, etc. The surrounding area is beautiful. John, the owner, supplies plenty of info about things to do in the area; but we just hung around, relaxed, enjoyed the view and used the hot tub. John also replied to our messages promptly. There were no problems - we just messaged him to say how much we were enjoying ourselves. We even booked another weekend in the fall already. The only important thing to be aware of is the final part of the drive - the path up the mountain. It's rocky and very narrow -no passing possible - and has a couple steep parts and tricky turns. I don't think a two wheel drive vehicle would make it, and I wouldn't do it after dark. My friends and I are already looking forward to our next visit in October.

Had a lovely, relaxing couples trip and it was everything was wanted it to be. It was quiet and secluded, a bit of a bumpy road getting there, but worth what you find at the end! We really enjoyed the observation deck, views, nostalgic classic board game selection, and hot tub.The hosts did a great job of making sure everything we needed was available for a comfortable stay.
