Beware! This place is a scam

We were placed in the additional "pet friendly" building (not the main building). The hallways were dirty, covered in pet hair and smelled horrible. The room looked nothing like pictures online, with paint chips on the wall and dirty floors and smelled bad. The bed was very uncomfortable. The "ocean view" we payed for was barely a partial view. Overall, this is falsely advertised and overpriced. A complete scam.

We did not have to leave the building to get to the reception, restaurant, swimming pool, and gym. We did not like that our room did not have a dining table. It only had a computer desk and a tiny stand, big enough to put only a couple of glasses and a bottle of wine on it.

Pros: ocean views, patios, decent beds, decent shower, kitchenette with decent-sized mini fridge that even had a proper freezer. The location is great, with lots of nice beachside areas to explore. There is a decent pool and hot-tub and even a little wading pool for small kids. There is on-site coin-op washing machines and free dryers. So-so: restaurant had average food at slightly above average prices. Nothing to write home about. Mostly pre-frozen stuff. Not much seemed to be house made. But it did have friendly service, nice atmosphere, and great ocean views. Cons: our room was in the building adjacent to the main one. I guess this was the pet-friendly area. The hallway reeked of urine, very badly. That carpet in the hallway has got to go! And at this point, the sub-floor will need replacing too. There was significant black mold in the bathroom ceiling. Not a small amount—I’m sure the cleaning staff know it’s there and aren’t doing anything about it. In general, the place is in disrepair. Needs paint, carpentry, etc. Hair dryer in bathroom did not work. All in all, I wouldn’t stay here again. The place needs some TLC. Looks like they ran out of money updating the furniture and countertops and failed to repair a lot of basic infrastructure. The awful smell of urine in the hall and the black mold in the bathroom were dealbreakers for me.

We enjoyed our stay at Adobe very much. We found the accommodations to be quite nice and a relaxed atmosphere. The views are amazing and the location perfect to walk into town of Yachats and a short drive to Florence. The food was very good but it is a slower paced restaurant so don’t go if in a hurry. The views from the dining area are beautiful. We used the pool and spa and found that even though it’s older it was very clean and plenty of towels. The bar has an everyday happy hour 3-5 and the staff was helpful. I would caution anyone with children to be careful of the 804 trail area as there are no guardrails. We would book a stay here again when visiting the area.

Perfect Getaway Stop

This was my first visit to Yachats. I had planned a short getaway after the loss of a family member and Yachats was chosen because of the trails at Cape Perpetua. Everything was just as advertised. The room exceeded my expectations with a king sized bed overlooking the crashing surf of the Pacific and a huge jetted tub in the room to soak in after a 22 mile days on the trails

Great ocean/beach access steps away!

Our 2nd time staying here. Location is amazing, beach access steps outside. Low tide is great for the kid to explore and discover little creatures. Hotel updated since our last visit. Highly recommend a ocean view sliding door room for direct access!
