The staff does their best — and they deserve a medal for working in a place that’s falling apart around them. The room? A masterpiece of decay. Maybe 20 years ago this was a design hotel. Now it looks like someone gave up halfway through a demolition. Tiny holes in the walls, patches over bigger ones, chipped doors, peeling trim — every surface is damaged. It’s not “vintage,” it’s just neglected. Charging $300 a night for this? Bold. Almost admirable, if it weren’t so insulting. This isn’t “faded charm.” It’s a building in crisis. Renovate it — or stop pretending it's still a hotel.

The staff was wonderful. Everyone we encountered was genuinely nice. The place is over 70 years old. The room we stayed in had been remodeled and was lovely. Modern sink, shower, bathroom. Bed was great. Balcony wonderful. No matter where you stay on the Oregon coast if you have a sliding glass door it's going to be rusted that's just a given. A week after you install one it's going to be rusted LOL that's just Oregon I grew up here. Everything was well appointed it was clean and had no old smell the place was nice and fresh the pool area look nice I would recommend this place to anybody. We would definitely come back. The restaurant was delicious we had dinner there kind of spendy but it was a beautiful Ambiance and got to sit right next to the ocean clear. Breakfast the next morning again you're paying for the view for the breakfast was delicious it was not subpar at all and I would go there just for the breakfast if we lived in that town. I'm not sure if the entire hotel is remodeled but if it is you have nothing to worry about. It would be a wonderful choice if you wanted to experience an on the ocean Hotel with a pool and a comfortable bed and a very nice staff and wonderful meal so you don't have to drive.

Good experience overall- I had two kids with me and they loved the huge pool and nearby rocks to explore. We had a good time. My only complaint was the restaurant- we showed up for dinner and there were several tables open but they said we couldn’t be seated there because we didn’t have at least 4 people. I could understand that policy if it were busy, but there were plenty of open tables and some had only 2 people. I planned on eating there for breakfast and probably at least one more time for dinner but why would I without the view? So I guess they lost some business there. (For what it’s worth- the one time we did eat there the food was great and server was awesome.)

Best: great location, good price and friendly staff. Could be better: TV did not work, not enough bath towels, Ice machine so broke not even plugged in and no sign. Probably dead longer than Lincoln. Food over priced. My wife’s chicken was killed twice. But again if you don’t mind a few room amenities missing and plan on eating in town would recommend it. Room cost was reasonable and right on the ocean. Get a balcony. And they were very willing to get you anything you needed but who goes there to watch TV. Ice would be nice though.

I have always wanted to stay at The Adobe. I love Waldport and Yachats. We were celebrating my 60th Birthday! We stayed in an Oceanfront room that was wonderful. We had dinner at the restaurant. The service was excellent. I know we will be back to the Adobe.

This hotel is in a beautiful small town, but needs updates desperately. Everything was dirty, upholstery stained, screens missing from windows, lobby dingy. It looked so much better on the website pictures- do not believe them!! The people were kind.

The Expedia Photos of this property makes it appear to be a high end hotel. It’s very old and in very poor / run down condition. For nearly $300 for one night, it was not at all what I expected.

Great view. The food was not good. I had the sole dinner. The asparagus was stringy and the sole was so thin and over cooked. Could not tell it was fish because it was so crispy all the way through.

We go to the coast often but decided last minute to take a couples trip. The fact that the hotel had a lounge and restaurant worked out perfect for us to be able to have a few drinks with dinner and not have to drive. We absolutely loved the rocky coastline in front of the trail and hiking the 804 trail. Overall, no complaints.
