Looked for hours for a hotel matching our needs. When we arrived (tired and hungry), we tried to check in. The clerk was saying words but we couldn't hear him because the television above his head was too loud. As he's taking my identification and credit card, he said, "The pool is not working good is that okay?" He was looking at his feet- wouldn't make eye contact. I said, "No. No it's not okay." But, because I booked a jacuzzi room, i was reluctantly willing to accept that there would be no swimming. I asked for a price reduction and clerk said he " has no way of adjusting a price." I alerted that my service dog was with us when i booked online. Clerk then makes a call while im standing there. After a bit, i interrupted him by asking if he needed anything more from me. He says, "We don't allow pets into jacuzzi rooms." I countered that my dog is not a pet. I have literally stayed in hundreds of hotels and not once did i hear that. Clerk offered to cancel my reservation. I told him, "That's great. But you know we're tired with a dog approaching evening with no place to stay." He, in the coldest way possible, just looked at me. Yes, we canceled.
