Unfortunately, the room I was given was right next to a construction site. When I called to inform the staff, the female staff member told me that I couldn’t change rooms unless I upgraded and paid extra. The hotel wasn’t even half full at the time, so it was quite disappointing. It would have been a great opportunity to create a positive impression for a first-time guest, but instead, I was met with unhelpful response. On the other hand, the male receptionist was very kind, polite, and welcoming — I appreciated his attitude. It’s a pity, because I had planned to come back during the ski season, but after this experience, I don’t think I’ll be staying at this hotel again. Also The room still had some dust on the phone and the desk.

Loved the owner & property minus the crane blocking the view of Matterhorn( not property fault ). I would Love to see the hot tub open past 1930. It would be nice to sit in after a long day of hiking !!!

Property and services week fantastic. Local construction could be a problem if you slept in but not an issue while you're out seeing beautiful Zermatt! Breakfast were fantastic and are cheaper to buy once you get there! Really enjoyed the hotel and room with great service, great breakfasts, and a great price. Thank you!

Property was great! Staff were helpful and coffee was good. The spa downstairs was nice.. the whirlpool tub outside was only kept at 35 C so was a bit chilly.

The view was fantastic, the hot tub was nice (though limited hours of use) and the room was comfortable. However, given the rate we paid, we were surprised by how basic the overall hotel experience felt. There were maintenance issues with the tub and other small details that didn’t quite meet expectations. While the staff was friendly and made efforts to address the problems, the property ultimately felt more like an upscale budget hotel.

This is a lovely hotel with great views of the Matterhorn. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was fabulous. And even had views of the mountains from the very nice bathroom. We can’t say enough good things about this hotel!

We booked a room with Matterhorn view and terrace. All we could see was a crane and building site that blocked the view in a way that you couldn’t take a photo because of the crane. We paid over $400 for this room. The manager decided we could still see the mountain so there was no grounds for complaint. We should have been advised by the hotel that there was construction going on. They must have been aware of this as they also provided earbuds to block noise. All in all the hotel is ok, nothing special, but the managers handling of our situation was beyond disappointing.

Absolutely perfect way to stay in Zermatt. Views that don’t break the bank, a staff that’s welcoming, accommodating, and kind, with amenities to match. Close enough to everything, but a block or two off to capture additional quiet and calm.

Best view in town!

We received a generous room upgrade without asking upon arrival and the staff was very friendly. Breakfast was delicious while our view of the Matterhorn was breathtaking. We’ll definitely be back next time we visit Zermatt!
