Beds were wonderful, room was beautiful, whole hotel was very charming, staff was polite. Stayed in a lot of hotels while traveling across Europe and this one stands out. A real gem.

I booked this hotel because it advertised AC. As it turned out, the weather was cool so management still had heat turned on. Even with the heat turned off, our room was very warm. Needed to open windows to cool room but we weren’t comfortable leaving windows open while out of room or at night.

The property is expensive for what you get. There is no desk, no bottled water, no coffee machine, no iron or ironing board, no telephone for room service, in the room and no staff to help with luggage. The breakfast buffet is basic for chf 20/person - no hot food - but considering it’s Zurich where a hamburger outside the hotel is 40 chf - probably not bad. Went to Cafe Odeon for breakfast, it was greaT, but was 110 chf for egg Benedict and Avacado toast with one sparkling water.

I would not recommend any women to stay at this hotel. I was travelling alone and was given a ground floor room. When I saw the room I realised that it had a direct view from the street outside which made me feel extremely uncomfortable. There were bars on the window so people couldn’t break in but they could easily see in. I went back to reception to ask to be moved and was essentially mocked and dismissed. I was told to just keep the curtains shut the whole time and not make such a fuss because there were bars. It goes without saying that this was two men telling me this. This is not a cheap hotel despite the way they advertise themselves. So if you want to feel unsafe, get disrespected and pay enough to stay somewhere a lot better then go for it but it wouldn’t be my suggestion!! It was also so hot in the room constantly and just not comfortable really.

The hotel was in a very good location in a quiet area but easily walkable to Zurich old town. The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious. There was no kettle or fridge in the room but the hotel had hot water available from the bar, and a fridge at reception for any snacks which needed one. The staff were always friendly and approachable for any requests. Luggage storage was available. We had a great stay.

Nice Place to stay in Zurich

Lots of places to see and eat nearby. If you have a choice a lot of things are closed on Sunday. Some restaurants are closed Sun and Mon. The Hotel is nice but not super fancy. The level of service was excellent to a person. A surcharge breakfast is offered but we like to wander and skipped it. The rooms were small but comfortable. We like in room coffee which was not offered.

Good location making it easy to get around Zurich, whether walking or using the efficient public transport. The room was relatively small with basic amenities but was clean and comfortable.

Okay

Fit for purpose. Quiet and spacious room, a good stay. Only complaint is that we arrived on a hot day (29 degrees) and management said it was too early to turn the AC on, ie they don’t turn it on until the summer months. Slightly odd given that it as listed as having AC. One very warm night and then thankfully the weather cooled down. Not ideal though, might have booked somewhere else if the hotel had correctly listed that it doesn’t have AC for my stay…
