While the property itself is located in a quiet, safe area and the staff is nice, the pictures and details Iisted on here are misleading. The main picture shown for this property is not at the property at all. This property does not have an outdoor garden area. The "garden" pictures are those of the Royal Palace Gardens that are a couple minutes away from the Golden Well, and for which you have to pay an entry fee. Secondly, the advertised included breakfast is not exactly free. The breakfast is very good and there are staff that wait on you. So, upon leaving breakfast, each guest is made to sign a form and put down a tip amount. It feels obligatory to leave a nice tip- which is fine, but should not be advertised as inclusive (especially when other hotels in the area do not push paperwork at you after breakfast). Also, the pictures of the rooftop terrace are misleading, as they did not allow access to it.

5 Stars – Exceptional Stay in a Storybook Setting From the moment we arrived, this classic castle-style hotel was more than we imagined. The architecture and ambiance made us feel like we had stepped back in time, while still enjoying every modern comfort. Its location is absolutely perfect- a short distance to the majestic Prague Castle, and within easy walking distance to the Charles Bridge, the Astronomical Clock, charming Old Town streets, and an endless selection of restaurants, cafés, and shops. Our room was beautiful, with elegant furnishings and thoughtful touches that made it feel both luxurious and welcoming. Waking up to views of the surrounding historic district was a highlight, and every detail reflected the charm and history of Prague. What truly set this stay apart was the staff. The Golden Well surpassed our expectations. It was a a great place to end our European tour. The staff was exceptional and the room was large and comfortable and very clean. It requires a short uphill walk but very doable, even for a 75 yr old pulling a roll-aboard suitcase and wearing a backpack.

We stayed at this place for our honeymoon in 2015 and came back for our 10 year anniversary with our child. It was and still is amazing.

This hotel has a special charm. I stayed with my husband and 3 teenagers and we loved it. The location is perfect, it’s quiet and yet easily accessible to the old city. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with thoughtful things like fruit and cake. Not to mention dark curtains and great air conditioning. The breakfast room has the best view of the city and the staff are all friendly and make the experience perfect. I highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel was fantastic. It is very quiet, very comfortable, the pillows and mattresses were so comfortable, we had the best sleep, the staff was beyond amazing, it’s located right in the city center, within walking distance to a lot of attractions, and the breakfast and roof top restaurant were exceptional. Golden Well was a really lovely hotel to stay at. It felt very luxurious. Was in a beautiful location. Great breakfast each morning on the top floor with an amazing view of Prague. The staff was really helpful and easy to work with. Only thing to watch out for is cars cannot get to the entry of this hotel as the road is too narrow. So you'll need to walk up about 100 yards, fairly steep. Something to keep in mind! It wasn't an issue for us.

You must visit this hotel!

Absolutely beautiful hotel! Nothing was too much trouble, all the staff were very friendly and took the time to help where ever they could. Amazing breakfasts with stunning views of the city, housekeeping was incredible, I would recommend this hotel to everyone as there just wasn't any downsides.

Stay here!

This place is truly a hidden gem. Located under the shadow of the Prague Palace, it is quiet, luxurious and within walking distance of the Old Town center. Historically, it was once a private residence. A fabulous breakfast was included each morning with a view of Prague that was breathtaking. Staff was very attentive and we enjoyed afternoon treats in the library room, and a little sweet as part of evening turn down service. It is a special place that I hope to return to one day. Thank you to Viktorie and all staff for making our stay memorable.
