So sad to see this grand old hotel in this condition. Although most public rooms, and restaurant, are excellent, our bedroom should have been condemned by health and safety decades ago. The window is dangerous and no one should be allowed near it. The outside wooden cill has rotted off and us waiting to fsll down to the car park when the wind blows hard enough.

Got suckered by the pictures provided on Expedia when booking the room! Nothing like what was pictured! Hotel had a terrible smell everywhere! Had to pay for parking. When checking in we left our car out front since we did not know where to park (hotel charged 10 GBP). Just received a citation from the city for the few minutes we were outside trying to resolve where to park. If you have a car and a nose, stay elsewhere!

Handy for the railway station. Easy access to the city centre and pubs and restaurants. Hotel itself is traditional Station type hotel, but the room I had was huge and had been refurbished. Great value. The only downside for some is that, though this area has been hugely regenerated in recent years and there are several hotel chains and restaurants nearby, it is not the prettiest part of Aberdeen to walk around in, particularly later at night.

Unfortunately the carpet hadnt been hoovered as I found a large ammout of debris and crumbs on the floor. The carpet was also in a poor state with a lot of stains. For an executive room I dont think this acceptable. I arrived late so didnt tell the staff until the morning. They were apologetic but nothing they can do about it.

Great Location and Very reasonable.

Great location to explore the city and very reasonable price. Good breakfast and we managed to park in the car park which has limited space and costs £10 per night. Only small negative was that the toilet seat had obviously not be cleaned and I had to clean it myself with toilet paper as it had a noticeable stain on it. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.

We have stayed here before. Very convenient as right next to train and bus station. Check in was flawless, friendly receptionist. Rooms were basic but clean. Lots of wear and tear... Rips in chairs, and wallpaper ripped off walls. There was a hairdryer iron and ironing board.. Very handy. It was a good shower... Powerful, and the soap was a nice smell. Downside was we had to buy our own toilet roll... I'm sorry but 1 ply is just impossible to use... Even a more basic doesn't cost too much for a hotel to provide. And don't expect to wrap a towel round your body, it's like a hand towel! We booked breakfast, but only had on first day, it wasn't the tastiest, but maybe just our preference, though it was a not bad selection. Tea out a machine is never nice...
