There's an interesting U-turn required to get into the parking lot. The property is surrounded by small shops. Once inside the reception area, we found very friendly staff who were able to help us navigate the property and also provided restaurant recommendations in the area. They also provided to each adult a complimentary welcome drink at the bar. The style of the motel is awesome...lots of great updates! The room was a nice size.

Terrible experience as we booked for 2 adults and 1 child via Expedia and we were offered a King size room with no bed for our child. The receptionist at the El Vado Motel was extremely unpleasant to us and didn’t care. He think Expedia did a bad job and that the staff at El Vado was not totally unprofessional at our arrival. Will not return

Place is an old hotel that was updated. Everything seemed OK but the room had a funny smell, but the longer we stayed seemed like the worst that old moldy musky smell became. Was like as if you were living in a basement that was once flooded. We left early the last night and let the staff know they did call and apologize, which was nice. But for the price it cost to stay I don’t think we’ll be back at this hotel ever.

This is a cute motel with a nice pool area. The hostess was super helpful. Free glass of wine the first night.Very accomodating. Good location within walking distance of the Plaza.

The room was very small. You couldn’t turn the shower on without getting cold water on you first. You had to step out of the shower to get to the shampoo and soap as it was at the other end of the shower. The coffee maker cord wasn’t long enough to plug it in without moving it to another area. There weren’t enough outlets for our devices, including a plug next to the bed for a c-pac machine. It was a cute hotel and the courtyard was lovely, but we were cramped and couldn’t leave the property to the parking lot because we had left the key in the room and couldn’t get back in. Because of the balloon festival, it was $350 and wasn’t worth that expense.

This property is very nice. The room was comfortable and large. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It's within walking distance to Old Town which is great! The Botanical Gardens are across the street. There's a lovely pool with comfortable seating. The hotel has a tap room, so if you like a beer at the end of the day, it's perfect. There's also a great place for a delicious yogurt breakfast right on the property. I really enjoyed that!

The design of the property is really interesting, especially the swimming pool! The rooms are comfortable and well appointed. It was nice to have a bagel store nearby for breakfast. We would definitely stay here again.

Stylish and comfortable

Fantastic place to stay in ABQ. Not far from downtown. The units have a very cool retro vibe clustered around the cute pool. Nice bar and friendly service. Only small feedback is that the rooms are a little dark and could do with some overhead lighting. Overall very comfy :)
