Great airport hotel option. One of the few hotels with free parking, and a convenient free airport shuttle running every 30mins. Front desk staff were helpful, funny and responsive. Hotel room was comfortable, clean and quiet even though it was a weekend.

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in Outside was dirty cigaret butts and litter reception had rubbish on the floor The room was so dirty they sent someone from the restaurant to clean it at23;30 she was the only member of staff that actually apologised sincerely for the condition of the room and she did her best The air conditioning did not work in the whole hotel and had been like that for 6weeks electronic room keys needed reprogramming constantly they try to charge you after 3rd time Reception staff so rude with a couldn’t care less attitude

We recommend Bastion Hotel for : Delicious breakfast! The omelet was cooked perfectly. Also had bread, fruits, coffee, juice. Friendly staff, serene atmosphere and customer service.

The trees on the site are fulll of birds and not easy to avoid and my husband along with another guest had the unpleasant experience of bird pooping on them.

The floors were visibly dirty underneath the tables. It looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months. The decorative red cover on the bed was visibly dirty with yucky stains. Other than that the bed was comfy and pillows were nice. Staff were friendly as well. It worked for one night stay with airport pick up.

We were advised against renting a car and given incorrect prices on parking, to be encouraged to use an over priced taxi that was affiliated with the man at the front desk. The room had chocolate on the floor and the ac didn't work.

I was really drawn to the Bastion Amsterdam Airport hotel for the shuttle service. Orange bus we were told. No orange buses came. After about 2 hours of trying to phone someone/anyone with no success, we were told by an AVIS worker what to look for. Our experience after with the shuttle was excellent. As for the cleanliness and housekeeping. It left alot to be desired. Spent 3 nights there and i dont think the floor was mopped/swept once. Grit underfoot. Garbage emptied but other little bits of rubbish on bench or floor, not touched not even bits that had obviously fallen out of the bin. Not happyJan! The food - well, good and bad. Breakfast was really delicious, plenty of variety and quite tasty. Dinner on the other hand, schnitzel was dry and tough but the mushroom sauce was to die for! A BIG, BIG plus was the friendly, helpful and cheerful workers at reception. Outstanding service!!! My fridge not working and it was fixed before I had finished dinner! Amazing! WOULD I STAY AGAIN? I probably would but would make sure my room was cleaned properly before I arrived and the menu was changed or added to giving more options that are more palatable.
