Unfortunately, the hotel is very dirty. The door to our room was broken. The toilet was broken. The shower was barely working. It was quite terrible. The location is convenient for a commute on I-88. Our stay was 6 hours and we didn’t say anything about the issues since we were there to sleep a couple of hours and leave.

This hotel was in a central location. We felt safe entering and exiting the building. We were disappointed that a simple breakfast was not included in the cost. We understand that smoking is legal in Illinois, but people entering the elevator just after smoking a joint was not pleasant. We were unable to adjust the temperature in our room and it was very warm.

Our stay this past weekend

My room was fine, with some rattyness (frayed blockout curtains, bad caulk in the bathroom, dingy towels). The worst thing when I arrived was that the lobby women's bathroom had fresh vomit in the sink. I let the front desk know about it, but it hadn't been taken care of the next morning. There was also some mix-up with the room my brother and dad were assigned. They were supposed to have a room with two beds, but when they checked in, the room had a single king bed, which was awkward, but workable. At some point that first night, someone used a key card to enter their room. We think that it was a couple who booked a single king bed room. It sounds like my brother and dad should have been provided a room with two beds, and the couple who had the key card to access my dad/brother's room should have been assigned their king bed room. I'm not sure what the mix-up was in terms of booking and front desk process, which was altogether unsettling. That said, the staff at the front desk seem to be dealing with staffing issues, and they were so helpful. We were there for a family funeral, and the staff made the dining area available to us on Saturday evening, which was wonderful.

Misrepresentation and total disappointment

When I booked the hotel I booked a king bed in a room with a bathtub. At check in I was told there was a bathtub in our room. There was not. When I called the front desk, they said only the rooms with 2 queen beds had a tub. They did nothing to accommodate us, offer any solution or anything. That is poor customer service not to mention misrepresentation by my reservation on Hotels.com
