It was a nice clean room, though without carpet. The bed was comfortable, and the fridge and microwave worked just fine. There is no pool, or much in the way of other amenities, and access to/from the hotel is restricted by being on a frontage road. Overall, it looks a bit rundown, but the room was pleasant and comfortable. Check in was easy, and the staff at the time friendly.
The only real downside was the refrigerator was really loud when it turned on to cool. It made a loud pop, and then came on for several minutes increasing in volume as it went. But, this was made better by turning the A/C fan on full time.
Overall, I'm not sure I'd recommend this place as it doesn't have a very "I'm really safe here" vibe, being in a not great part of Austin. However, if you're looking for an inexpensive place to stay, this isn't that bad a choice.
