This hotel is a bit of a bait and switch, apparently there are two buildings across the street from each other. The annex building appears to be the older of the two, and was very run down. Unfortunately, all amenities are in the main building, so if you want to use any of those, you are forced to constantly cross a very busy street. At least they do have a very dedicated crossing guard on staff at all hours to help stop traffic. Furthermore, if you are traveling as a group with multiple rooms, as we were. It becomes extremely inconvenient to be in two separate buildings. Some staff were very polite and helpful, others very dismissive. We were even accosted by one staff member while loading into a taxi demanding money for mini bar drinks we didn’t use. Considering the fridge in our room didn’t work, we definitely didn’t touch anything in there. Only after handing over cash because we were in a hurry to get to airport, did another staff member come running over to let the first person know they had the wrong room and wrong people! Overall, stay was okay, but I never would have booked this hotel if I’d known our group would be split in separate buildings.

Hotel is located in an excellent location. The staff was amazing and very helpful. The room I had was very clean. Hospitality was A+++ Make sure you add the breakfast to you stay as it is worth it. The buffet served is top quality. Pool was very clean with a many spots to relax. Great pool bar service. Staff is always ready to stop traffic as you come out of the hotel (traffic is heavy if you haven't been to Thailand) Most important is the quality of service provided and how important they make you feel. Future trip to Thailand I'm deft staying here again.

The staff at the hotel were amazing!The wonderful woman who checked me in gave me my Gold Member benefits with a great room upgrade and a 555 Baht dining voucher, which we gladly used. She also checked me in within minutes and everything with a smile. Almost everyone at the front desk remembered me. The consierge Koko and their other staff people helped me with restaurant suggestions as well as booking me a seemless taxicab ride to the Bangkok airport. They made sure that my 11:00 AM taxi booking happened right on time. I also want to shout out a big thank you to the entire breakfast staff. I have never had such organized and attentive service in ANY of my breakfast buffet settings. Ahmad, the restaurant manager made sure that I had everything i needed and asked how I liked the food. They also had a really nice and personable girl, Mild, come over to me and welcome us back to the hotel. She was in charge of their egg grilling department. When the eggs were done she would bring them to the table. She was SO nice! Our room was incredible! Spotlessly clean with great air conditioning and fantastic bedding, especiall the pillows and mattress. Posh at the front desk made sure my check out also went well. Again, so sweet I feel very lucky to have found this hotel. I have rarely been treat so well in a hotel or resort situation. I highly recommend this property! Thank you Valia Hotel!

For the most part we had a very nice stay at the Valia hotel. We did not receive all of our gold benefits as often happens when Hotels.ca says that we will get them. In all of the years that we have had different benefits we have only received a room upgrade once and we did not get one at the Valia either. The room was very nice with a great bed and nice pillows and bedding. The washroom was excellent with a great rainshower shower head. The room was also extremely well detailed every day. My only complaint was with the hotels dining. On line they showed that their restaurant, in Bangkok, served Thai food. We quickly realized that they did not. We had a 555 Baht discount on food in the restaurants but when we went up to their other restaurant we were told that we could not use it there, even though they said it was usable in that restaurant. The server was rude and not at all helpful. I did complain to the manager and when we returned after having a dinner elsewhere we arrived to find a nice plate of fresh fruit and cookies plus a very sweet apology for what happened. That was a great way of dealing with a very unsettling experience. Our daily breakfast was fantastic!! Great organization and as is in most places in Thailand, beautiful and sincere service. We had an experience that was not the norm. I would definitely recommend the Valia hotel.

The size of the room was great and we enjoyed all the amenities offered. Breakfast was good with plenty of options. The bed & pillows were comfortable. Gym had a decent amount of cardio equipment plus a good selection of weights, both free & machines. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The property has two amazing restaurants onsite, awesome pool deck, and free shuttle service to a local mall. My rooms best was comfy, shower was excellent and my room even had a city view balcony. To top it off I received amazing service from the front desk to the porters out front. Special shoutout to the night Manager Ploy, Yok, and Mild! Ploy made sure I was able to get close accommodations to my friends room. Yok decorated my friends room to celebrate her birthday, and Mild helped me pick out the best cocktails in the restaurant. Will rebook on my next trip to Bangkok.

Very kind staff,the only issue I had was I paid for a room with a city view but I didn’t get that. Other than that the room was perfect love the bathroom. There’s a guy at the breakfast room in the morning that wear suits I think he’s there on the weekend, tall, don’t remember his name but he was very kind to me the whole time, made sure I had my hot chocolate and orange juice as soon as I get seated in the morning. The breakfast was very delicious it a buffet style and everything was 10/10 . I will chose this hotel anytime to go back to Bangkok.
