We were very unfortunate to get a room where the shower did not work properly. We stayed three nights and had trouble each night. By the third night we had very little water pressure and very hot water that we couldn't control the temperature. Brought it to the front desk that night .We were told maintenance had gone home. Told the front desk the next morning and she let it slip that they had trouble with the shower in our room.If it's a problem don't put guests in it until it is working properly.

An historic property and really nicely renovated into an up to date living space. Extremely clean, great how water, free breakfast to get your day started. Very close to the main drag and minutes walk to the bay.

Excellent place to stay!

From the moment of check-in to checkout, the entire staff was kind and friendly and helpful. Besides that the building was in incredible shape and so nicely maintained. The gardens outside by the Parking area or just a nice added touch. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. Walking distance to town is one minute

Loved staying at Acadia downtown for our 10 year anniversary trip. Staff was so welcoming and accommodating. We loved the location and proximity to shops and restaurants. It was wonderful having the balcony and sitting outside people watching.

The location is great, across from the town square. The on-site parking is extremely convenient. It’s an easy walk to dozens of shops, restaurants, and the waterfront. Only glitch is the rooms in the main building which face the street can be noisy at night. But that wouldn’t stop me from staying there again.

Convenient location in the heart of Bar Harbor, the staff was friendly and the accommodation was as advertised. I docked a star on the review because there were a few house-keeping items that could have been better. I would not go as far as to say it was dirty, but definitely felt lived in. Perhaps it was due to the fact that they don’t have a ton of space on the property (common for Bar Harbor) and it was peak busy season. Overall it was a decent stay and the staff was friendly.
