This hotel had an outstanding experience from start to finish. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, going out of their way to ensure my comfort. The room was spotless, well-furnished. I especially appreciated the comfortable bed and high-quality linens, which made for a great night’s sleep. The hotel’s amenities were top-notch – the fitness center was well-equipped, and the breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of fresh and delicious options. The location was perfect, close to major attractions but still peaceful and quiet at night. Overall, I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and exceptional service.

The hotel is in a great location, outside of the main tourist areas but still close enough to get everywhere quickly on the Metro. There are tons of cafes and restaurants within easy walking distance. We enjoyed the hotel’s daily breakfast, and there’s a lovely bar in the lobby. Our room was spacious by European standards, with a comfortable king bed, a large closet area, a beautiful marble bathroom, and a small balcony with a table and 2 chairs. If you have limited mobility, the shower could pose an issue—it’s in a tub that’s very slippery and has high sides (though there is a well-placed safety bar). The water pressure in the sink is low and it takes forever to get hot water. The pressure in the shower is better, and when the hot water gets there, it’s plenty hot. The rainfall shower is oddly positioned but works well. All of the staff members were courteous and helpful. We would definitely stay at U232 again and recommend it to friends.

Waited til 4:30 for room when check in was 3. Free drink coupon to compensate with wine as the only option because they said the draft beer machine was broke. Had booked 3 rooms and one couple had twin beds. Their room also had a flickering light they found disorienting. Positive, they booked our taxi for us as requested. Queen beds were comfortable

I don’t see how this is a 4-star property. To me it was just average/regular level good. Nothing about it blew me away. I really didn’t like the bathroom design - visually or structurally. The bathtub/shower is one of the worst I’ve ever been in.

Rooms were nice, clean and stylish. Gym was small but useable. Hotel decor was reasonable. Staff were a bit aloof and weren’t that welcoming in my opinion. Might just have been us though. Good location and fair price for what you got.

Excrement coming out of bathroom tap

My son was washing his hands in the bathroom sink when the water began spurting and changed into a dark brown flow of excrement - not just discoloured water - faeces. It had the unmistakable smell of human waste. He ran out of the bathroom and almost vomited. We contacted the front desk, their initial response of "what do you want me to do about it?". Eventually they saw some action was required and sent up a handyman who ran the tap until the water looked clearer. At our insistence, they gave us another room. In the new room, we flushed the toilet and the toilet water became brown and the tap water discoloured. So this was not an isolated incident in just one room. I contacted reception. The first person did not seem concerned and said to just let the water flow, astonishing given the dangers of contaminated water and risk of severe illness. I thought that she should try and isolate the issue, warn guests and contact a testing company to see how far the problem extended but this was all ignored. Eventually, she came to look at the room and contacted the handyman. She sent us to the bar, then returned to say that the problem had been fixed. Presumably, this meant that the water no longer looked discoured but could contain any number of harmful bacteria. We said we did not want not stay in a room where 30 mins earlier excrement was coming out of the tap. She said that we had no choice as there were no other rooms available. The hotel refused any compensation.

I hope that nobody gets seriously ill

After complaining again, the hotels refused to do anything further saying that they did not have any other rooms. As far as I am aware, no other guests were notified of the problem. From what I saw when the handyman came to fix the issue, the 'fix' was to let the tap run until the water looked clear. Future guests will have no idea that days before, poo was coming out of the same faucet that they are now using to brush their teeth. I hope that nobody gets seriously ill or hospitalised. The hotel refused any compensation.
