The hotel is located walking distance to Wang Fu Jing. Location is good, but the hotel is a bit old and lack maintenance. The room door is unable to close properly on its own, the shower tap mixer was not working well. The room was very stuffing as the air conditioner was switched to natural ventilation after mid night.

The Unfriendly front desk person, but great hotel

Great location, the only thing that I do not like is the person who helped me with the check in process. She helped me last year too. She does not possess a friendly and welcoming personality. She should be trained!

Its hard to comment on this hotel thou. as there are pros and cons. the front desk at check-in time wasn't that friendly. He doesn't seems to answer the questions we asked. However, the next day when we go to the front desk the ladies there are more friendly. Overall the experience is good

Great Stay in Beijing

Beautiful hotel in a well located part of Beijing. Staff were welcoming and friendly, and the hotel is close to underground stations, as well as walkable for the Forbidden City and surrounding attractions.

Booked King Suite and it was worth every penny. Most of the hotel stuff are very helpful and make our stay really pleasant. I am i impressed with Novotel Beijing Peace and highly recommended to all!

Location Dream - Average Hotel

Positives - the hotel itself is situated in a great spot. Close to Wangfujing street for shopping, walking distance to the forbidden city and close to transport to easily get to and from other areas of Beijing without taking a car (which is a huge advantage in Beijing as traffic is horrendous). Staff were friendly too when we were unhappy with our initial room. Do note there are two sides to this hotel. One which appears to be the main building. And the tower 2 which we disgusted by when we entered the room. The room smelt musky, there was dust all over the benches, the walkway leading into the rooms were dimly lit. The only saving grace was the bathroom appeared to be newly renovated but even then, streaks all over the glass and mirrors. It appeared like this room hadn’t been stayed in in months and was just left that way. We did get moved to a level closer to family who were staying which was great and even though the room was in the better side of the towers, the room was still quite musky and old, with the bathroom in a worse state. We didn’t want to spend much time here which was good because there was so much to explore but coming back to a room that felt unclean and dusty. Our son who has eczema had no issues on this trip at other hotels however broke out into rash after 1 night sleeping here. If not for a 5 star location, we were seriously considering staying at another hotel after the first night. Disappointing given price wise there are similar nearby.

Great location in the heart of the city - Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, Jin Shian Park, banks, stores, food all nearby. Staff is very helpful and welcoming. Buffet is very good. Tea store next door is excellent

Novotel Peace is Centrally located close to Shopping malls,LV & Branded bags etc across the road, Restaurants,Tiananmen Square 30 min walk, Forbidden City 20 min walk.Coffee Lovers Starbucks few meters fr Novotel. Reception was very helpful recommended Btg Tour which I have pre booked a Private Tour to The Great Wall wd English Tour Guide. Recommends online tickets for Forbidden city & Tiananmen Square if you visit without Tour Guide via Viator. Interpreter Application helped interpret English - Chinese made communication manageable. There is a Guide map of Beijing city including Tourist Attractions available at the Reception. Our family had a great 5 days stay at Novotel.
