I would have given this hotel 20 stars if I could have. The location was outstanding, the staff was incredible and the amenities were stellar ! We were in Boston to see Fenway Park, and honestly every hotel is expensive, but if you can afford to stay at the Commonwealth Hotel, PLEASE DO IT !!! Spend even a little more to stay there. It just so happened to be patriots weekend as well as the 250th anniversary of Paul Reveres ride so the city was packed. But the hotel was quiet and the staff was exceptional. Jeff at the front door was unbelievably helpful and so friendly. There was a complimentary coffee service in the morning, and a sparking and still water station set up all day. The hotel restaurant is Blue Ribbon, which I have been eating at in NYC since the 90s. There is a Starbucks nearby and a Dunkin’ Donuts as well. Everything is walkable from the hotel, especially the campus at Boston University, where we walked around and got to choose between a dozen different kinds of food options. I cannot remember a stay as pleasant as this one, in a very long time.

We loved the surprise of having the Citgo sign right outside the hotel. We didn’t realize that the turnpike would be right outside our window, but the view of Fenway and the surrounding area was really cool. I really enjoyed the Red Sox themed elevator, I was hoping they would all have a Boston theme! The staff was amazingly helpful and friendly. We will definitely be back!

We absolutely loved this hotel. We had the Fenway view and our son absolutely loved waking up every morning to the view of the stadium. It’s literally right next to the Kenmore subway stop. This made it easy to get anywhere in the city quickly. We definitely plan to stay again. The staff was awesome as well!

Very convenient location. Close to everything in walking distance. We stayed there to visit Boston University and Northeastern University. Right next to hotel is underground station and bus station. Hotel is very clean and staff is very friendly. Breakfast can be ordering by QR code and is done very fast and Delicious.

Not a Luxury Hotel

It wants to be something it isn’t. Hotel Commonwealth is clean and in a good locale. But it’s not a “luxury” hotel by any stretch. I told them it was my daughter’s sweet 16 ahead of time and at check in and they did nothing. The cleaning staff does not want to clean your room. They get visibly upset if you ask them to come back which was awkward. The resort fee includes “snacks” which is just a basket of Kind bars they keep behind the front desk and nothing else. Looks like they have been sitting there. If it wasn’t a special occasion it would have been fine. But the pictures make it look a lot better than it is. It’s like buying clothes off of Amazon. You get it and it’s disappointing. I wouldn’t stay here again.

Had a small problem that for some reason they had us down for not wanting the room or towels cleaned/changed . They brought up a few towels after and took off the $40 hotel fee. The Hotel was beautiful and we had a very nice room. Would definitely stay here agin

Good location and good service! Walkable to everything we needed to go to. My only issue is the cleanliness of the bathroom mutliple areas on the wall and floor were dirty with red marks.
