Last minute wedding in my family so we got in at 1 AM and left the same day by 11 AM. I wanted to eat breakfast at the attached café a little before 10 AM before I had to leave for the wedding at 10:45, but I only got my meal at 10:40 so I had to choke it down.. understaffed Café and the people at the front desk were disorganized, even though they were trying very hard to be accommodating. I don’t like the fact that the system of having my bags kept at the front desk, basically meant they were thrown in plain sight behind the front desk, where anybody could’ve walked off with him with nobody noticing. In addition to not getting my 20% off my food at the café in the morning, as I said, it took too long to get to me. There was only one person serving everyone in the café.

There is no on-site laundromat for guests. The hotel offers a laundry pick-up service for a fee, but prices are per item of clothing and will add up quickly. Save your money and just go to the nearest laundromat (10-15 minute walk). Otherwise, the room was nice and clean. The staff are friendly and will help you with any special requests. Breakfast isn’t technically included but I had a $20/day credit to use at the restaurant. It’s enough for most items on the menu, except maybe one or two (once you add tax and tip). Get a free coffee by the reception as you walk in and save $4+ on the drink.

The Boxer is a clean and friendly hotel that is located close to all mayor colleges and universities as well as restaurants and shopping centers.

Location is good. Staff isn’t very knowledgeable about the hotel’s amenities and policies. Water bottles were not replaced every single day - only two bottles were provided for the entire stay. It’s a shame that there’s no microwave in the rooms.

A gem in the heart of Boston

This hotel is a gem. While the footprint of my room was small, all amenities were readily available. It was perfect for my 1 night stay. Carly at the front desk was very kind and helpful with a restaurant recommendation. They called a taxi for me when I needed to check out. The room was very clean and comfortable. I would certainly stay here again.

Great location, friendly and helpful staff. The main issue i had was with the climate control: every time we came back to the room it was much hotter than we had set the temperature. The air only seemed to come on with somebody in the room, which was a bit disconcerting from a privacy perspective as well. After about 30 minutes the room would come to a good temp, but with 90 degree temps this weekend, it was extremely noticeable every time we walked in

Cramped room. Housekeeping did not replace empty Kleenex over multiple days despite my placing it in the sink to make sure they saw it. Coffee was served late Sunday (7 am). Kitchen and front desk staff was nice and generally helpful. The bill is truly hard to understand, with all the add-ons.

This place was decent, but not worth what they are charging per night, staff was nice, but the room was small, which is fine for only being there long enough to sleep. The wall outside the room the paint was peeling from a water leak and then not long after the ceiling started to drip steadily in front of the door.
