This was a nice place to stay at and the price was very fair. There is a very steep hill to walk up to the main road. So that’s why I didn’t mark walkable. The property itself though is easy to walk around. The room was very nice and well maintained. The toilet didn’t have good pressure but did flush. Just had to hold the handle down until it flushed.

Not anything at all what the pictures described. Stayed in a "Superior King suite" that was said to sleep 4. Unless all 4 individuals are supposed to sleep in 1 bed there is no where else to sleep besides the bed. Absolutely no water pressure. Had to stand against the wall under the shower head to take a shower. Elevator broke day before our check-out which was inconvenient. Wasn't at all worth spending extra money for the room we thought we were getting for a weeks stay. Pool was quite cloudy. Couldn't even see the bottom. Breakfast was average. No selection. Eggs, sausage, and potatoes everyday.

We made reservations through hotels.com. We were put in building 2, they said because we paid a cheaper rate. This is the third time we have stayed at Grand Oaks, and we have ALWAYS stayed in building 1 which is much nicer. We have always gone through hotels.com.Very disappointing.

When the website shows you pictures it shows there’s an outside pool. Nobody told us the pool was at another location unless you want to swim in the inside pool at this location. The only one reason I rented this place is because the cool pool that it showed outside. First time my three boys I’ve ever been together, and I chose a place that we could huddle in our own little space while catching some sunrise and be cool in the water talking about things we’ve never talked about before together peacefully. I’ve yet to talk to a manager I’ve been too busy and I hate calling back to a place to complain, but it ruined a bucket list check off. Everyone brought towels and swimwear and sunblock. Don’t need sunblock in inside pool on who likes an inside pool not not my boys we wanted sunshine like the pictures showed. Other than that great stuff pretty good place to stay thank you.

Older feel, but decent stay-our room had issues:(

This hotel is on the older side, although it seemed clean. Our only issues were a bad air conditioner and no black-curtains. Luckily during our August stay, the weather was on the cooler side, mid-80s. Although we had our ac set on 60 the room was probably lower 70s during the night, but as soon as the bright sun came into our room (because we only had sheer curtains) it quickly rose to an uncomfortable temp. One other notable thing, the tub/shower looked brand new but the shower head was level to my 5'7" height and maybe 6 inches to the ceiling. May be a problem for a taller person. On the positive side, the staff was kind and the bed was comfy and tv had many channel options. Also, a great location with plenty of parking.

The sheets and towels were stained. The elevator broke on us after the first day. We had to use the stairs, which had an eaten chicken bone in the corner that had been there multiple days. Walked all the way to the indoor pool just for it to be “sick,” whatever that means. There was a shopping cart and trash by the parking lot. The outdoor pool had a film on it and was noticeably green.

The ac in our room didn’t cool as well as I would’ve liked. It wasn’t hot in the room, but it wasn’t cool either; it was bearable. I loved the convenience to everything. Continental breakfast was good. Two of the vending machines weren’t working; no bottled water.

The smell when you walk in was not pleasant -- it smelled strong of cleaning supplies. I would love to smell lemon, lavender, or coffee. I was worried the room was going to have the same scent - thankfully it did not. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. I appreciated having one sink inside the bathroom and one sink outside the bathroom. Parking was easy. I am grateful this property is non-smoking.
